📌 one MAJOR thing i did not talk nearly enough about (mainly because i was trying so hard not to cry at the end lol) was how INCREDIBLE tae was in his role. the acting, the emotions.... omg. i am sooooooooo proud! 💜
i cried a river watching this...my babies deserved a happy ending......TAEHYUNG IS AN ACTOR and we need him n iu in a whole kdrama..this was soo beautiful and heartbreaking...iu's voice is just out of this world.
Caitlyn...PLEASE do not regret your tears. PLEASE stop putting yourself down because your heart leaks through your eyes. BE GRATEFUL you can cry because many people can't. Why? Because either their hearts are SO cold, or SO broken, they can't feel anything anymore. My now deceased father, in his younger years, used to (as they say in the South) cry at the drop of a hat, and he'd drop his own hat. He hated that about himself, became angry about it, and even prayed that his tears would be taken away. Amazingly enough, the Universe answered...and granted him his wish. For decades he would feel things, but he could never cry. He so wanted to express what he felt, but nothing would come. After decades of not being able to show, share or express his feelings, he realized the mistake he had made by wishing his tears away. He regretted that wish, and began to pray/ask that his tears would return. He continued to have no tears, until one day he experienced heartbreak SO SEVERE that nothing could stop the tears. For the first time in decades, he cried; and once he started, he didn't stop...releasing decades of pent up emotions as well as a sense of gratitude that his tears had finally returned. He spoke publicly about this (I remember as a child when he asked that his tears be taken away), and cautioned people to NEVER wish your tears to stop...because the day your tears stop is the day something inside you shuts down...almost dies...and it will take only the worst pain in the world for them to ever return. Caitlyn, your tears are actually a gift...not so much to you perhaps, but to others. Your tears help others know "It's OK" to cry...and that's something we don't have enough of in this world. If more people could express their feelings in a "kinder, gentler" way like tears, no one would ever resort to violence and anger to "get out" everything built up inside. LOVE your tears. CHERISH your tears. And please...PLEASE...keep sharing your heart through tears with the world. It's a GIFT to us all...and it's NOT something you want to go away! Please trust me on this. When my dad's tears dried up, he became a different man...and not the loving daddy I used to know. He was old man before I saw THAT daddy return. Don't let that happen to you. ❤
Girl, I teared up the moment she opened her mouth😅 and then the ending was just the nail in the coffin. Worst part was I watched this while at work, so I was trying to make sure I didn’t just start bawling😂 They were both SOOOO good. I also second a drama with these two! I’m going to need Tae to have an acting contract lined up as soon as he’s discharged
IU’s voices are so beautiful and V expressed all the human emotions in 5 minutes of this MV amazingly. The cube is society norm and out side box is where people who does not fit in those norm. Your reaction and analytic mind is so true and good. ❤
LOL.... I was crying within the first few words that IU started singing. Her voice just does that to me. And boy, did I cry a lot in Hotel Del Luna and My Mister!
This was sooooo beautifulll, I can't stop crying, the acting was incredible, and the story is so beautiful, and IU's vocals were just so calming and vibrant. And apparently someone said on twitter that "Korean fans pointed out that tae is blind in one eye, while IU is deaf. And the cube is hunting them down for their disabilities. The camera doesn’t show them the past, it shows their life if they met society’s standards of perfection and weren’t discriminated against" this made me sob even more. 😭😭😭😭💜💜💜💜
I think the clothes pile is the same reference to the art installation that Spring Day used aswell. Maybe that’s where you are getting Deja vu from? I started tearing up at the same moment when she covered his eye, then seeing her hand dissipating, the tear rolling down, and the clothes falling is what really did me in lol I didn't expect to cry tho I teared up during Eight MV and full on cried watching her Above the Time MV so I guess I should have thought it was a possibility lol. I actually really loved them on screen together, they were so precious and now I seriously would love to see them in a drama but something happy like a romantic comedy. But considering Tae has talked about wanting to play a villain role cuz he thinks it'd be fun not sure he would but honestly it's just nice seeing him get to act in this MV.
I cried all the MV. It’s a masterpiece, a precious love history with sad end. I want a series of this history before and after, with a soundtrack with IU and Tae songs. 💜
NOpe....even after watching the MV a dozen times, I could not stop crying. It's impossible. The emotions that this song invokes, the profoundly inner feelings that IU must have kept so dearly in her heart expressed so passionately in this MV. Gawd there's simply no words to describe how I feel right now!! Absolutely emotional!!

I watched the MV, I was a crying mess. I showed it to my best friend, we were a crying mess. And now I'm watching reactions to the MV, and I'm still a crying mess. This song is soooo beautiful, I love her voice so much. I re-watched "My mister" with my best friend last week and was also a crying mess. This woman make me cry so much it's not even funny. They are both fantastic in this MV and I'm not ok.

The dejavu might have been from Spring Day Cait (the pile of clothes that Yoongi is at, and honestly is so beautiful and heartbreaking that it has kind of the same meaning in both mv’s). Iu’s voice got me crying as soon as she started singing, it’s so beautiful and emotional love her voice so much. ACTOR TAE IS BACK omg they did such a good job together this was so cinematic and beautiful! they have such a great chemistry and they are both amazing actors 👏🏼. You were right…apparently he is blind from one eye and she is deaf, and the f’ing cube thing is supposed to “get rid” of people who are “different” like them, that’s why they were running away from it and were so protective of each other, also the camera is supposed to show them how everything could have been if they were “normal” according to society there I guess, which is so sad because unfortunately it’s still true in real life, people with disabilities are always fighting against been discriminated 💔. The way IU caressed Tae’s eye when they were “normal” and it was healed it’s so sad but sweet 😭. This was everything 🤍
One thing I haven't seen or heard as a comment is that last image of the cone of clothes with the wedding clothes on top, it looks like a wedding cake.
I cried every single time I've watched so please don't feel bad. Their acting made us fall in love with their beautiful relationship so it was all the more painful to see their demise. A cinematic masterpiece! ❤
I genuinely have no words for IU's voice and i loved her acting in hotel del luna so i knew she was about to blow my mind. The song and the video was a masterpiece and i am so impressed yet again by tae, ofc if he wants to later on i would love to see him on the big screen.
I swear I cried harder after watching this 4-5 minute MV than I did after 2 hours of Titanic. :') I was already emotional when they showed the happy scenes from the camcorder, but I lost it at the end, when they were just helplessly holding onto each other. 🥲😭😭They just looked so scared and vulnerable. Like, how could anyone or anything hurt these two innocent angels? I know it's acting and all, but that was super powerful. And my love for the queen IU just got bigger, so, yeah.💖 She is my idea of a Disney princess.

Does ANYONE remember Star Trek's worst nemesis the transhumanist/A.I. Borg who lived/traveled in cube-shaped ships, "assimilating" (absorbing) everyone they could, and turning them into robotic entities with no individuality at all? Once assimilated you had no thoughts of your own, as you became part of a hive mind mentality. "Resistance is futile" was the Borgs' motto, and their goal was to conquer/control the universe, turning everything into a single-minded A.I. machine. ANYONE put two and two together here??
