Love and sacrifice ALWAYS pulls at the human heart. Love is something we all want yet some struggle with. The title "Love Wins" and "Love Wins All" is found in the scriptures and if you read how Love is defined, it really does require you to die to yourself for the other. Maybe that is the struggle... This MV is amazing and I have watched it so many times that I have lost count. IU can't hear and V’s one eye can't see ,in the end IU covered the good eyes of Taehyung so he won't see the horrible ending in front of them ,im Stuck at how a single tear from Taehyung’s good eye traced its path down his face and IU’s hand gently covered his eyes, It's as if he found a momentary refuge in her touch, offering a subtle relief from the overwhelming sensation ... I was waiting for your reactions!! When i say i have watched the MV about 50 times, and a dozen reactions, and i end up sobbing EVERY SINGLE TIME! What a song, what an MV, and the two of them together are just WOW!! But yes, im not sure if I'll ever be able to not cry. V is blind in one eye, she is deaf/mute, its her covering his good eye to protect him from seeing the end that kills me. Lots of social connotations in the MV, especially from the Korean/social media aspect. They may come to an end but they had the love they shared. I literally cannot stop watching it. 😢 I didn't find the Love of my life until i was 45, so, please dont think it will never happen. There is some one out there who will find you.
I’ve watched this video almost 20 times and every time I feel like this was a cinematographer doing a demonstration: 🎥 “Hello. You have a ❤️? Is it working?” ME: “Yes.” 🎥: “Ok, let’s yank it out of your chest, make it run a triathlon and then put it back.” **yanks out heart. **watches video **shoves it back in 🎥: “So, how about now? At the very end.. they are flying away (but its when viewed thru the cam, because the cam made things and their story beautiful).. otherwise the box evaporated them.
The cube represents society and its going after those that are "abnormal" to societal standards (she's deaf and he's blind in one eye). When they look into the camera, they see themselves as "perfect" and get swept up into this fantasy land and forget they are being chased by the cube. You can see small glimpses of reality like when the photo booth pictures come out and they are their true selves (dirty, cut up, stained dress, one eye blind) but when we saw them taking the pictures they were "perfect". The people with their faces covered are mocking/attacking them even though it looks like they are cheering/celebrating them. At the end, she covers V's good eye so he doesnt have to see the horrible end they are about to face yet she faces it head on and doesn't blink. It's such a powerful song and video. Both IU and V are actors and have been in dramas. So that's why you could really feel the emotions in this video!

I loved this music video and song. V did such a good job acting too. I thought it was kinda like a Pixar short. I know how you feel with the whole love thing. It also reminded me of the conflicting feelings I have when I see happy teen gay couples in a series. It makes me very happy seeing it but also a little sad that I didn’t have that in high school. The pile of clothes is actually a reference to an art installation made by an artist named Christian Boltanski (the art installation was called "No Man's Land") in 2010. In his art piece every article of clothing represented one person and a crane above the pile (which he said was a metaphor for God's Hand) deposited new clothes on top of the pile, showcasing the course of life, with the clothes being represantion for the people that have left earth. Both this music video and BTS's MV for Spring Day reference this art installation (so in this MV it's not directly a reference to Spring day, just them both using the same source material as inspiration)
This was the first time watching this MV, and I'm kinda lost for words, in a good way. Her voice is hauntingly beautiful and draws you into the story of the lyrics. I have watched the mv numerous times. I have watched so many reactions. It doesn't get any easier, and I don't think it ever will. Everything is so beautifully done, but what's behind it is so ugly. Hatred and discrimination are everywhere. The mv touches the deepest of your soul. Cry away. Let's bring back love and let it prevail.

I had that kind of love for 12 years. He was the one who saw me as beautiful no matter how I was looking or feeling that day.i would have walked into hell with him by my side. We had two beautiful daughters together. Unfortunately, that all came to an end in 2002 when his his undiagnosed mental illness came to the forefront and caused him to walk out of mine and my daughters lives. I am 62 now and have been divorced since 2003 and I can truly say that I have no need to get married again. I was blessed with a love so deep that I can't help but to compare and I won't settle for less. He has since come back into my daughters lives and established a relationship with them and he has apologized to me and to tell me that he still loves me to this day even though he is remarried now. It's a different kind of love between us. He even told my mother that his biggest mistake of his life was leaving me. I know we won't ever be together again but I am content having had that kind of love.

Yes, it was Spring Day, but this is IU's MV, and it had nothing to do with Sewol. This song is Beautifully Tragic. The acting was next level, and the song was beautiful. V and IU have perfect chemistry together. 💜
I agree with you... it's perfect! But it's soooo sad! It reminded me of the way I felt after watching Amygdala by Agust D. IU and V gave us a super hyper short Kdrama, and they confirmed their excellence as actors. I cried like a baby even after watching it ten times... Imho, the story is about how the media, social media, and haters can ruin lives, making them choose the s@icide as an escape. If they aren't "perfect," they have to be eliminated 😢
