I’m sorry even as a Habs fan I can’t be delusional in thinking Demidov will be the best Russian player over Ovi… Wake up and touch some grass if you really think that is a possibility… Demidov definitely has the potential to be a 100+ point player but he will not be a generational talent like Ovi…
@@TheFaceoffyt I don’t think him being 6’1 had anything to do with it, He’s actually 6 foot and a half that was the actual height he came in at the Russian combine… Kent Hughes said besides Celebrini, Demidov was the best player on their list… if he was 5’11 the Habs still would have picked him… Demidov ONLY fell past second overall because of teams from 2-4 picking for organizational needs…
How can you say that ? He hasnt played a single game yet 🤦 Vadim Shipachyov was the best player of the KHL for years and couldnt do shit in the NHL. So please wait few years before saying this 🤪
To be the best Russian hed have to end up being better than Ovi, Datsyuk, Federov, Kucherov, and Pavel Bure. So on behalf of the other teams who dont draft him, let's hope not.
@@TheFaceoffyt Could be solid gold or could be a Lead weight, but the on-ice vision is elite already, its the speed of the NHL that changes everything IMHO, it would sure be fun to see this player on NA ice @ NHL speeds.
Not even close to Ovi 🤣💀🤦🏼♂️… A mix between Panarin/Kucherov/Kaprizov is fair he’s more like those players you can find a little of those 3 in Demidov… OVI is an absolute power forward machine that will send you into the shadow realm with a hit and then take your goalies head of with a shot… Demidov is nothing like Ovi! Stop it… This doesn’t mean Demidov won’t be good, I agree he’s a special talent but he’s nothing like Ovi…
Hi, first time checking your channel out,i liked the video alot so keep up the good work . I did subscribe so looking forward to catch you on the next video.
@@TheFaceoffyt very good question. We really can't know for sure given how sneaky the nhl can be with selections. Obviously we know struggling teams tend to get the first selections so it wouldn't be surprising to potentially see maybe the sabres or kraken or devils or ducks
he went 5th overall because Chicago needed a no.1 dman, Anaheim already had alot of potentiel all star lefties, they needed a big RW and columbus already had alot of talented wingers.
@@habs7646 that's all true but if he comes over and lights up the world Juniors, is the or a leading scorer (given the year he probably would have been if not michkov) and Russia wins gold teams are taking him over their needs
Demidov is a better hockey player than Michkov… Demidov has better IQ, Better Hands, Better compete, Better defensively, Better passing, Almost better in every category you can think of except for shooting… Michkov will score a lot of goals, He will not be a 120+ point player, Demidov has that potential… Michkov will be a great player, But based on potential Demidov has Kucherov potential, Michkov is more like a Patrick Kane Type player without the Heart that Kane had in his prime… Philly is an absolute shit show when it comes to prospects and their center depth is absolutely dead 💩… Let’s see if Philly can even get a player that can feed Michkov, If Philly doesn’t that won’t help Michkov at all…
