Nicole Coleman Unbelievably is way more level headed Ivar is a badass but to wreckless and too stubborn basically Ivar let's his hand being shown to much instead of planning a good calmer strategy like Ubbe I mean Ivar doesn't think carefully with good plan
I just realised that season 2 features a scene where a young Sigurd is holding a knife that Ragnar gave to him and this is most definitely the same one. Its great to see that the show still keeps small hints from past episodes
What Types Brothers Are The Lothbrok Brothers: My thoughts..☺ 1.Bojorn-Big brother A fighter protector with more experience, Having knowledge skills a dangerous Viking warrior. 2. Ubbe- The most Responsible controlled one But a true loyal Brother. 3. Hvitserk- The most Reasonable one, But the most Calmness of The Brothers. 4. Sigurd-The most honest brother who Speaks his mind Very strong minded He can be savage with words. 5. Ivar- A Unpredictable Cunning brother, But with knowledge skills and wisdom with brains but twisted dangerous .
I love this scene. Ivar and sigurd the youngest of the lothbrok boys start fighting. Ubbe the eldest first warns them. They don't listen so ubbe sighs takes a sip of his ale stands up gives the look of "right now you've got me envolved" separates them and sternly tells them to knock it off. Having an elder and younger brother myself and when looking after two young children I've both been ivar and sigurd fighting and older brother breaking me and my younger brother up. And I've broken up brothers fighting and this is exactly how it happens. Love it
Yeh , you can see how so spoilt and entitled Ivar is here . Then he continues to taunt Sigurd by putting emphasis on the words “ FATHER’S KNIFE” thus refusing to acknowledge that the knife now belongs to Sigurd . Such a well written dialog here
As an older brother of multiple siblings myself, I can totally relate to Ubbe’s fed up reaction to seeing his brothers quarrel in front of him. How many times did I have to settle their disputes? Never bothered counting.
@Lol Umad okay good argument. Just watched the scene again and I get your point, Sigurd was just as bad. I think Sigurd saw how toxic their mother was and hated her for it. And how she spoiled Ivar so he blaimed Ivar which is wrong, and then Ivar felt he had to bully around to feel equal and respected which fits great with why he became a ruthless leader In general that family seemed disfunctional (blame the parents)
Honestly 90% of the ragnarsons problems are because of ivar's behaviour, at first it was nice to see a little hate/love dynamic with the brothers but know all i can think off is that ivar's is a disease for the brothers.
Ivar & Sigurd are still Kids guys.. Meaning they are still teenagers kids why do you think they acting inmature brats who fighting all time and they are the two youngest Brothers of Ragnar Sons in this Vikings Series anyway. However in real life Ivar was the elder's Son of Ragnar & Aslaug boys together. But Bojorn was always the elder's Son of Ragnar children.
Yeah they were supposed to be like 15 and 16 at this time, and if you've ever met a 15-16 year old boy, you would see how immature and dumb they can be. Lol.
It's said in other sources that ragnars eldest son was halfdan ragnarson. He's not in the show because bjorn is more well known and there would have been too many. But there is another theory that halfdan and Hvitserk were the same person. Idk if any of that is true its just what I've read
Ok, but is this the same knife that Hvitserk used for killing Largetha? If that so, Ivar do kept his promise, only he wasn't the one that did it Gotta love the little details in this series
Ivar is right that's What Ragnar wants Ubbe not just kill King Aelle but Ecbert to.😡 However I don't want King Ecbert to died but he's death is sealed From what I heard can't wait for the blood eagle on Aelle.
Ivar-Unpredictable brother. Ivar- There He is a voice of reason I hate reason.😂lol Ragnar always said Ivar is not like his Brothers that He is very Unpredictable..😗 And he was right I like Ivar he is crazy psycho brother but in good way sometimes he scares me especially when He gets all evil eyes If you rub him the wrong way like Sigurd did if you said a wrong words to Ivar you better be sure there's no axe or knives around him especially by him because Ivar gots A hella of a strong arms..😨 Sigurd is a savage when it comes to words but He better be more careful of what he said to Ivar next time I mean He was closely about to get his neck chop with Ivar axe. He maybe crippler guy but he will sneak Up on you like viper snake to strike you down before you know it. Its good thing that Blacksmith was there to catch Ivar arm on time He could ends Up killing his own brother. I understand Sigurd is A type a guy who speaks his mind and all but sometimes the words you use may kill you if you not careful but I like that he is being honest about it but next time He should use in terms of calm and reason with out raising his voice maybe next time Ivar won't try to kill him next time. Sigurd just needs to be more careful how he talks to Ivar, For being so down right harshly or else he could ends Up being a dead brother by hands of a crippler brother. I mean why would Sigurd talks crazy to Ivar knowing how crazy psycho he is in head.
You know, there is this one thing called character arc which takes character that is spoiled brat and makes him something great. This method creates these things you might have not heard of called stories and plot....
MWvidz Where did I ever say he won't be developed? I'm looking forward towards his development cause I'm tired of seeing a spoiled brat. You seem to not understand where I'm coming from. I saying so far I don't see anything that would make me think he's "special" like how most people are always bragging. I'm sorry I'm not praising him right now, but even then his brothers at the moment are far more wiser. Ivar just seems to be that over confident kid, and is quite annoying. Again I'm looking forward towards his development, I'm looking forward to all their development. I understand story far more than most people.

Ivar was the elder son of Regnar and aslaug Ubbe was young in real : aslaug sons 1.Ivar 2.ubbe 3.hvitserk 4.Sigurd But in the movie it seems Ubbe was older than Ivar the boneless,unless someone tell me Ubbe was not aslaug son then l understand
