this might be my new fav song by ive 😭😭 im not a dive but i honestly love them so much and their mvs are so cinematographic in style and elegant, it’s just fascinating!
@@angelzhkk so true!! even tho i’m not a dive i’ve been listening to them since their debut and i must say either way is one of their best songs (and all of their songs are amazing)! i think this song is a great sequel to i am cuz they were talking about being who they are and being on their own way and now with either way being good either way since it doesn’t matter which version of you you are. and another thing i’ve noticed is that in i am they mentioned their life being a beautiful galaxy while here in either way they have this galaxy glitter and galaxy theme! it’s so interesting and meaningful 🫶🏻
One of the things that I also liked in the editing at 5:13 is that Rei's phone flashlight was on, and then it cuts to Liz's part where she is overexposed to the light. She seemed to be lighting her up with her flashlight.
I WAS WAITING FOR YOU TO REACT TO THIS! Honestly, the members acting in this was insanely good. This song definitely made me emotional and the lyrics really expressed the members well!
Ive are generally so amazing. From their voices to their visuals! I love how Jordan explains everything so we understand the song more. Thank you, Jordan!!
Your analysis is amazing. Your comment about the overexposure in the chorus part got me thinking. I think it signifies that IVE is under a microscope or a SPOTLIGHT if you will. That’s why ppl have so many opinions about them. Think the video also signifies that they feel all the negativity thrown at them and even though they appear like it doesn’t hurt them, it actually does affect them.
“Either Way” is a song by IVE, a South Korean girl group. The song is about loving yourself despite what others think of you and embracing your individuality. It also talks about how people have different opinions and perceptions of you, but that’s okay because there’s no right or wrong when it comes to your identity.
Jordan ma man that Dance Therapy is more co-oordinated than half the populus in my area, keep slaying also: "Who-hoo-hoo-hoo-hoo"- Jordan 2023, an Icon
Amazing breakdown, thank you. The cinematography & storytelling is truly amazing in this release and unlike anything we’ve seen in recent kpop. I love how vulnerable IVE gets by removing themselves from the highly glamorous image they present so far to tell us a relatable story. So powerful. I hope you do their next pre-release Off The Record that just dropped ( it’s AMAZING ) & their main release Baddie next week.
I think the glitter is their sadness, consuming them as they themselves fade into the galaxy, then melted away by the rekindled flame of joy and hope when they are happy. Idk its pretty dumb
My theory is that the gliter represents the pain, tiredness exposed when wonded. Which means a universe is inside the body or the body itself is the universe. All of us are "The One" or "devided pices of the one" or one soul and different versions of body(they mentioned this in official reaction). And in Mahabharat something on top of a finger symbolzes that that thing is under his countrol (the ending). It may symbolise we did this to ourselves or it was all part of a bigger plan detected by God.
this is hands down the best song and mv ive has made so far. thank you for making a video about it! as usual, you make me realize and notice things i didn’t notice before.
my theory is that the scenes from when they are happy and when they are sad show the two sides of kpop although the sad black and white tends to get overlooked. the sparkles on the knee and hand could be blood that has been “sugar coated” as if they are trying to say their pain and struggles are always covered up but the sparkles and colors. the lyrics talk about all the hate they get as individuals and as a group. the I(introvert), E(extrovert), and V thing could be used as a metaphor(??) for how the group got hate for being “co-workers” when really they all just have different personalities. The scene when the bus leaves then i think its wonyoung who is there sees and walks away may represent how all idols have to leave school at such a young age to pursue the dreams of being an idol, and the scenes when they are all carrying bags and struggling/crying are meant to be them moving into their dorms and new life and maybe being overwhelmed and homesick. in the end when its black and white which in the MV is usually when they are sad they start to smile could show that instead of trying to go along with everyone and hide the pain and suffering they have come to terms with it and accepted it? idrk if this makes sense or not
The heart-shaped lightning bolt🫶. It's a song so full of meaning and beauty. One of my favourites. I really liked the ending in which they come out of the darkness and celebrate.🫶🖤
The swimming scene was actually underwater the memebers actually talked about how the water hurt their eyes when they were swimming under the water. So thats crazy
I think IVE's music and concepts are something different from the others. The group, the crew behind them do not come to play, they want to influence and change the industry. Despite hates, they are still growing stronger and they deserve more recognition
I was just watching this old clip from Boy Meets World when Mr. Feeny tells Cory if he keeps letting what other people think of him it will affect the way he thinks of himself and form his future. I feel this is incredibly applicable here to what IVE are saying. And what the kids are allowing to happen to them these days. Don’t allow people dictate who you become. Be you without regret, and you’ll be good 😊 ❤
This is so incredible, the way you explain all the stuff with that passion you see it, you give chills. Please keep doing this with IVE, please do "Off the Record" Greetings from Mexico City
One of the best reactors, I'm learning so much especially when it comes to the cinematography and video editing. Also how you perceive and make a theory out of this video. Love this! Thank you!
wth?? hahah you made me cry, your analysis was so unique that i deeply get into the video, like idk why but this was so beautiful, i feel high, maybe it's your edition. Love this video😭
my theory about this video is that we're all a part of the universe, there's universe inside all of us, every person is basically a whole universe. and in terms of that, we're all good people. and our bruises, our wounds are showing our insides which is universe (sounds weird and creepy haha but I hope people would understand me the right way) love your reaction and analysis, Jordan!
It surprised me that you made a video about either way!! cause the entire mv is like a short film, i'm not sure that you react to this type of mv but here is it. It's really refreshing to see, in kpop as well like you said. Also you reminded me once again how i love your reaction. You can catch it immediately as a professional, that's why i love hearing your commentary. I love this! 🤍
