"Heya" means "Sun". The song takes its motif from a Korean legend. A Korean old legend says that In daylight, a Big Tiger tried to swallow the Sun but was too hot and couldn't swallow it, and then at night, it tried to swallow the Moon but was too cold and could not bite it.

Ive's 'HEYA' is an imaginative and deep song with the motif of a classic Korean fairy tale. It will be more interesting if you know the Korean classics about the tiger, the hundred-year-old fox, and the sun and moon. The lyrics, full of satire and metaphor, are amazing.

해야 (Haeya) means "Sun" or "(calling) sun!" HEYA is based on an original folktale IVE created. "a tiger who loves the sun" tells the story of a tiger who is off on a search for the sun, who is hidden in the darkness, metaphorized by IVE in the opening of the song yujin was holding a pipe and there's a smoke coming out of rei's mouth... in Korean folk tales instead of “once upon a time” they’d sometimes use “back when tigers used to smoke” ©divintoive/bunnynyeong/ancho____
