Compared to their previous songs,the fall of her singing time in Kitsch is drastic. This is the first time I saw a main vocalist getting the least number of lines. It doesn't matter whether it's a Bside or a title track, the main vocalist should be given more lines cause he/she is the MAIN VOCALIST.

What i think a lot of people don't realize is the fact that Kitsch is a pre-released b-side track and given the style of the song, there would not be a lot of use for Liz's highnote vocals because Kitsch is just not built that way. So in short, what they did is that they gave more space to the other members on Kitsch as a compensation, because she was obviously going to get more attention on the title track than other members, which she's got. Please note that this is not a hate or negative comment towards anyone. Just an attempt for clarification.
I feel like Starship is doing this on purpose because of the hate Liz has been getting about how she looks a certain way. Starship is really making me mad about this. She’s the main vocalist and as the main vocalist she should be getting enough lines regardless of what some people are saying. I've managed to convinced myself to stop being sad about this. Because when they perform live, at least Liz won't be that tired and less pressure. Even though we can see that she's the most stable, with less lines, she won't be criticized that much when she will have voice cracks or when she make mistakes. I just hope that in the future, many more fans will love her because that's what she deserves.

Idk why ppl still dont get how line distribution works so here. Ive has very dynamic tone and when it comes to songs with edm chorus/part (love dive, after like, kitsch) rei and wony's tone shines the most. in royal, my satisfaction, eleven and take it, yujin and liz's voice fits the most. Their singing tones matters here, the way they will sound when singing a certain part. That's mainly the reason why some groups has "unfair" line distribution. Well it's not really unfair, it's being smart on who will sound more iconic and fitting in a certain part. This isnt just about who is the lead and stuff^___^
You have a valid point. This would apply well to NMIXX (sorry for bringing them up, but I had to), the songs given to the group are so diverse that it can push different members every era, since every member of the group have their own skills. However, for IVE, it’s technically starsh*t making it Wonyoung and friends.

Im alr tired of people saying wonyoung and friends when in fact the other members actually has their moment to shine and other people never notices it. For example, when people called out how unfair the costumes were, their company gave gaeul some nice outfit in love dive era but people only noticed it when wony is the diff one. And when wony and leeseo's cover song didnt went well, they listened and made liz and yujin cover a song! Did people notice it? No because their only focused on the negative here. There’s no justification for a main vocalist to have 5 seconds in any line distribution, let alone the main vocalist in a group where no other member has actual vocal support. And to all the comments out there saying Starship distributes to the members who best suit the song. The strongest singer in a group can never not suit a song, even if they aren’t the dominant voice in a comeback, the main vocalist should always have a sizeable chunk of lines. This is just favouritism. I highly doubt we will ever see a song where Wonyoung only gets 5 seconds despite being one of the weakest vocally in the group.

This is just a pre-release of their song. Why didn't you include blue blood and not your girl? Which are also some of the songs for their upcoming full album comeback Their title track will be released on april 10. I know she deserves more but some people are taking it too far, to the point that they shade the other members. If you're really following, DIVES and Liz's c-bar are already mass emailing ⭐💩 so I do really hope that those people who kept on saying that she deserves more are sincere to their words and not just because they want to use liz to shade the other members...

It’s probably just this song she didn’t have many lines but on other songs she will. But I will say ♥️Liz♥️is the most likable and memorable to me. And I think she’s the cutest out of the whole group.
although i don't think this should be done by other agencies, i believe this was a marketing strategy used by starship to earn liz pity from the fans and even non-listeners (even if the company got a lot of hate) because more people began to listen to kitsch to check out the line distribution and overall liz also got praised for her vocals a lot more (deserved!!) i hope they don't do this again though

she’s had fair lines in every song besides the recent one. So why is everyone crying over one song? If it was multiple that’s understandable but ONE song is ridiculous.
Just don’t stream and just leave comments and tweets tagging starship about Liz not getting lines. They clearly gave her less lines once she started getting hate. But if you threaten to stop supporting until Liz gets lines then they have to do something.
Let's be real. She has gotten a lot of lines in all of their songs til now except kitsch. Well others didn't get also any lines in other songs so why don't we just understand that not always you can get so much lines. I mean that’s how it is, not everyone is gonna get a lot of lines in each song, other members of ive have had little lines too For example Gaeul got about 15 seconds in eleven, 13 seconds in take it, and 8 seconds in love dive! And all of those were lower than Liz INFACT the lowest in the group, as u can see liz has gotten ALOT of seconds in certain songs so I don’t think it’s a discrimination thing like everyone has been saying, it’s just who’s voice the directors think works best for that specific song, so please stop trying to start more drama for Liz P.S this is not targeted towards the creator of this video, it’s towards the comments people have made

@@ari..0x I alr watched that video where you got that from and they didnt say it WAS liz (I thought they were talking about blackpink's Jisoo)(no hate on her ofc i love her and blackpink especially since im a blink since forever) but liz is my ult in kpop and she was since eleven. She already gained lots (I mean LOTS) of popularity in the eleven era because of her angelic vocals so even if this might be true, liz stans havent doubled or tripled just because she didnt get the lines she deserved in most of ive's songs

I think we know now the reason was coz she got more lines on their A-side track, this song literally has few lines and mostly has the beat on chorus that took a lot of space. There's like two Verse and no refrain, before chorus. They won't mistreat Wonyoung and Yujin. Couple with Ga Euls growing fandom, they were giving her more exposure now, she's done with her one liner🎉😊. But still atleast they can wiggle another line somewhere for Liz. Or they're intentionally doing this for the publicity. Like Liz got most lines on I am, as it was really fit for her voice.
I think the producer/company knows when to give Liz longer lines. For instance, the previous songs have some high parts compared to Kitsch which doesn't have much high parts that need her voice.

Kitsch was definitely on purpose, but people have been complaining since Eleven/Love Dive, and I think some fans need to realize that songs don’t need to be 100% fair. Many groups push different members in different eras to make them feel different. If all of IVE’s members were given exactly 1/6 of each song, people would complain that the better singers deserve more time. If every song were divided according to positions only, Gaeul who is the only member without a vocalist position would be given no lines if the song didn’t have a rap. Which happened. And people complained about that. Starship didn’t officially give IVE ‘main vocal’ or ‘lead vocal’ positions. Yujin, Liz, Leeseo, Wonyoung, and Rei all have the same ‘vocalist’ position. But even groups with official main vocalists don’t always assign according to their roles. Aespa has songs where Ningning is 3rd or could be 4th by a split second. They also have songs where she’s 1st in line distributions. (G)I-DLE Miyeon is almost always in the bottom 2 of line distributions despite being an official main vocal. In ‘My Best Friend’, Taeyeon would have a single line if she didn’t do adlibs (see:ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-iLkFAY1zzTU.html). Yoona was ‘favored’ by the company and pushed, but she often got just 3 seconds of lines or just ‘Yeah’ adlibs. If we didn’t consider Kitsch, Liz actually has a very fair amount of lines in their discography. I agree that something is wrong right now, but people have been saying she’s mistreated since Love Dive era just because she wasn’t #1 in line distributions, and I think it’s ridiculous for people to want songs to be completely divided up only by positions. Let the vocalists rap. Let the rappers dance. Let the dancers sing. Liz has had a dance break center whereas Gaeul didn’t. Rather than mistreatment (OTHER THAN KITSCH), it’s more like the company likes to mix things up.
