IVE yujin and gaeul are destiny 

i was surprised by the video's title and a lot of the comments here. to me, it's pretty clear that yujin/gaeul have the most tension/friction between each other out of the group. yujin being the leader despite gaeul being the oldest is one reason. another is that gaeul is used to leading, but in this group not only is she not the leader but her experience as an idol is vastly dwarfed by that of yujin and wonyoung's, who by age should be her juniors. it seems likely to me that she struggles with adjusting to that dynamic, after having been a superior for several years as a trainee. in one of the early 123 IVE episodes, yujin and gaeul were alone talking about their leadership styles. yujin is a flexible, forgiving leader, whereas gaeul is a strict, draconian one. there's likely a lot of things gaeul doesn't agree with regarding the group's work ethic etc that she doesn't vocalize, because here she is not the leader, nor do the other members recognize or desire her to be leader. that's because no one wants a hard ass commanding them, especially not one who lacks experience. this is why you always see them teasing gaeul constantly, it's to knock her down a peg and keep her authoritarian side contained. that's not to say that's a bad thing - this is how we regulate each other's behavior as social beings and signal to each other what is acceptable and not. lastly, neither yujin nor gaeul are good at making friends. in IZONE days, it was stated that yujin had few friends at school, despite being a famous idol. and gaeul has also talked about how it was difficult for her to make friends and fit in as a trainee. so clashing leadership styles, conflicting views on work ethic, disproportionate industry experience, and less-than-ideal interpersonal skills - all these factors create tension. but what i find admirable and worthy about it is that both yujin and gaeul are trying very hard to mesh with each other and work together as teammates. eg this video, where yujin has the choice between wonyoung and gaeul and chooses to pull gaeul to her. they both have a genuine and parallel desire to succeed as IVE, and both recognize that the group must be harmonious in order to achieve that. so they consistently venture out of their comfort zones, working to improve their relationship bit by bit every day. and that sort of pure and courageous determination is admirable to me.
