Everything is so much better with rock n' roll

It's so nice to see that women's skating has finally becoming more welcoming to styles other than ice princess.

Girls got great taste in music, and she's an awesome skater!

I love how she skated to AC/DC, which isn’t a typical choice of music for girls to skate to...and her outfit is so badass!

I have no idea what was her technical score, but that doesn't even matter... her coolness score was totally off the charts!

What they don't show is the Judges absolutely jamming out

Nice ouftit, awesome smile and good skating. Even tho i don't have a clue about figure skating but it was highest score in my book.

I'm so glad they let ppl pick their own music. Makes the performances way more personal and entertaining. Would love to see some prog enter the scene lol.

So I don’t think she placed particularly high or anything, but if I look back at that Olympics I might be able to remember the medallist but I will definitely always remember the woman who went out and skated to AC/DC!

I felt like she cpuld have been a bit more energetic and strong with the movement. But other than that she did good.

I have literally always wanted to try something like this, to do something to rock music normally done with pop. I'm a dancer, and I know it's not the same thing, but it's really inspiring to see someone at that level alter the norm like that :) Makes me want to go do pirouettes and calypsos and leaps and stuff to Aerosmith, or Guns N' Roses, or even the punk side of rock, with Green Day and The Offspring and the Smashing Pumpkins... I can do a mean aerial to a drums or a wicked guitar riff :)))

She was so nervous but managed the performance extremely well.

The best thing I've ever seen

It's a shame Ivett's 3Lz was downgraded, she only got 1.5 points for that element. No more than 0/+1 GOE on all of her elements either, and while it's good that all her spins were level 4, her step sequence was only level 2. She seemed slow across the ice, too. However, the music choice was crowd-pleasing which suited her style. It's good to see when skaters break the strict gender roles and don't play it safe with their styles - ladies can skate to wilder, rock choices and wear a matching costume to the music, while men can also skate to beautiful lyrical music and wear a costume with tons of sparkles & ruffles ;)
