"I've never heard of a locomotive singing in the choir. There may be Regulations."
~
The finale of Ivor the Engine's First Story continues the tale of how Ivor gained his famous three tone base whistle from a steam organ and joined the Grumbly & District Choral Society.
The song used throughout is a traditional Welsh hymn called "Cwm Rhondda" - written in 1907 by John Hughes. Go give it a listen with a full choir and orchestra - simply marvelous!
While the tales of a Welsh railway are certainly more sedate in pace than your usual Thomas tale, the next collection of Transportation Tales promises to be far more exciting. No spoilers, but I'd love to hear your guesses or recommendations for future videos.
