This game has a single play quest mode, which allows you to progress through a series of missions to perfect your skills and acquire new equipments. That is so awesome.
I agree. Now having 3 stances, after a following move you can switch stances without the opponent realizing this, the fallback is finger gymnastics and memorization of which move can allow Ivy to switch stance with manual input. But thats why i love her, the hardship pays off in the end Lol. It goes to show IVY really is what she is, a tough nut suffering and players will have to suffer a long way with her before her true potential will being to show.
One thing I hated about this game is with Taki, Namco could never seem to leave her alone. Her move set was always changing. I get used to her move set in SC2, they move it around in SC3, and again in SC4, and in SC4's case some of her movs have diferent properties, or a lack theirof.
Yeah especially when she says "Is that painful?" after doing a Summon Suffering on her opponent or "I'm not here to play with you.." after the battle. XD By the way does she still say those lines? I don't have SC4. =D
Interesting battle. The Ivy player seems to be much better at close combat than the Taki player, which means those two are really playing the wrong characters wrt their skills.
yeah Ivy is my favourite chracther BTW i like her 2nd outfuit more than the first one I don not know why , maybe i like removing clothes while destroyeng armors However for Taki i just cant use it so i am sticking with Ivy
damn the two power grabs ivy has needs time to practice just so you can pull it off. they change the arrow commands. also i like the new taki, shes more better to use in this one.
It's too bad that Taki has a huge disadvatage with long-range, well, because she isn't a long-range character. Simply. I mean how many long range attacks does she have anyways? none? On the other hand, Taki is a beast up-close, but yet I don't see why the Taki player didn't use the close-range as much to its advantage. Oh well. I can't say that I could have done any better either. It's been a long time since I've played SC2.
WHA~!? What are you doing to poor Taki! T_T She's my favorite character and yet she loses... Soooo not cool. Wonder if it was the CPU Taki or someone playing her. o_O
Well...you have to be good if you expect to win vs good players, yes. She's extremely difficult to use compared to many of the mashy characters. But ya....we all suck at first. Ivy noobs are among the worst since teir chosen character is so demanding to learn.
I prefer Ivy's voice in Soul Calibur 2... it sounds like a real dominatrix and more sadistic not to mention she sounds like a woman in that V2 XD not like in this SC4!
Plus her voice gets worse in every game. Here voice was perfect in Soul Calibur 1 & 2 but in 3 it was ruined an in 4 she sounds almost like a man. Clearly a different voice actor(actress)
