IW-R1Imperatorworks - 2021 - 1.8 year Ownership Review 4K Watch my other videos for more information on the IW-R1 as this video is just a quick update. Let me know if you have any special questions.
I have had mine for 6 years now and not a single thing has broken on it. Just as good as the day i got it! I am thinking of upgrading now though i would love the new white one
You know, a larger monitor doesn't just look bigger, but it allows one to be positioned at a greater distance away from it and still appear to be the same size of a smaller monitor that is positioned closer. For example, a 24" monitor placed at a distance of two feet away from an observer will appear to be the same size as a 32" monitor that is placed at a distance of 35.2" away from the observer. Therefore, upgrading from a 24" monitor to a 32" monitor allows the user to position the 32" monitor 11.2" farther away than what the 24" monitor was, without losing any apparent (angular) size. I'm sure the extended bolt solution was a significantly cheaper solution than purchasing a new monitor. However, there is a large variety of 32" monitors available between $200 to $300, and you can often find one on sale for under $200. So, just some food for thought. Maybe acquire a new 32" monitor, and continue to use your current smaller monitor in a dual display setup??? Now, that's some real food for thought!!!!
I agree. I have been using 2 or 3 monitors for years. Under 30 inches a decade ago, when large ones were super expensive, but since 2018 I’ve had two 32 inch monitors. These are only 1080p but for the home office rig. This much real estate is a must for work with email app and Acrobat and excel and web all needed to reference and do my reports and such. Even at my official office, I have two 24” monitors. May separate gaming rig has one 42 4K monitor. I can’t see owning this work center cockpit and not having multiple large monitors.
no bro just look up what the view distance is for me woth my 54 inch lg ultragear its 80 cm and im good with it . so that 49 inch will be good straight onto the arm
I love mine and have had mine for 3 years and 8+ hrs a day use too. I have a 42 curve on mine. I had to had my PCB replaced but the customer service and tech support is great! I made a bigger keyboard tray to mount my duel stick flight controllers and I ran some extra usb cables through the chasse for web cam and head tracking. I had the same issue with the buttons but I bought a spare replacement from them.
Hey man, thanks for the review. I essentially have jerryrigged version of this with my own recliner and rolling desk. I WFH same hours as you, plus I just had major back surgery. How comfortable is it? Any nagging pain or aches on your back from it? More curious about the chair part of it than anything. Thanks!!
A while back I tried my hand at making my own too, but it never really work so well. I decided to buy this chair and i dont regret it and if i had room i would buy another for my wife. The chair for me gives me no pain and i can sit in it for a very long time comfortably. Its a firmer cushion as opposed to something like memory foam, but its very comfortable for me personally.
I used a recliner and a triple monitor mount for a sim racing setup. I could recline and get the monitors right over me. Worked pretty awesome for a budget setup.
@@cknorris3644 I was looking to do the same thing with a chaise lounge but all of the triple monitor racing stands i found didn't allow for tilt adjustment of the monitors which I knew would be a big problem.
Has it helped you working? I mean in terms of ergonomic comforts? Do you work while reclining? I currently just put my legs over the desk and recline myself. :)
Is it worth it ? I love gaming but now I cant do it on normal desk anymore my neck become really hurts after seating just for 30 mins to 1 hr. But lay down should be fine. It comes from nerve problems…
Hello Tim! I know this is an old video but please respond if you see this. There are a lot of sites claiming to sell this. What is the official site that you got yours at? Please let me know. Thanks!
I was doing research and contacted Imperator recently and it is confirmed that at peak lift of the monitors, from top to bottom is 90" (85" if you do not install base)
@sergio3986 You might want to look at the Cluvens Manticore seat as well. It's a little more modernized. My understanding is Imperatorworks is the main supplier of chairs and licenses them out to third parties to make different versions.
Hi when you’re using it in zero gravity mode doesn’t the blood from your hands drain out using the keyboard and the mouse? I tried this and within 3min I could already feel it
1. Buys giant, expensive reclining desk which main feature is its electric recline. 2. Does not use recline 3. Makes multiple videos reviewing it over time, never mentioning main feature
