I use this one for priming and basecoating models. I love it. It also has a pistol grip accessory which you can get which makes it even nicer to use for longer sessions.
Brother you are not gonna believe this !! I was deep cleaning my Iwata eclipse and I noticed I saw foam coming from behind the head cap! I looked and there was no rubber O ring behind the head cap ! I don’t think there ever was one so I was able to get an O ring from my other airbrush and it was amazing how much better the air flow was I’m going to try it tonight ! I can’t believe they sold me a Iwata without the rubber O ring behind the head cap !! And it seemed no matter how thin I mixed my paint I would get horrible tip dry !! I can’t believe this !!
Wow, mate I have never heard of that happening, I would definitely get onto the distributor who sold you the eclipse and get them to mention it to iwata, as they may have a batch that are missing and other customers could have the same issue 🤦🏼
I love Iwata and have a few full size paint guns they are quality... But that being said i just got a pro con pro boy ps290 and a gaalheri swallow tail and both have fan caps and both spray very well...as I do models cars planes and trains... I would like a Grex as they have an airbrush with a .7mm needle and a fan cap for even more paint output! But the Grex is not cheap all pretty good airbrushes but some are more value of price.
I agree, I do love iwata but I think price wise they are really getting up there and other quality brushes that perform comparably are more reasonably priced.
i have the gsi creos ps 290 which is basically the same airbrush just without the mac valve. parts are interchangeable with the iwata hp th i even installed the custom grip handle from iwata since the creos one is smaller
I would suggest that you get a compressor that has a tank , I like the IS975 power jet pro, also SprayGunner have some great compressors in their ‘no name’ brand just get something more powerful than you need and you can’t go wrong 👍🏻
No I don't think it would fit the eclipse as it is definitely larger, but it would be handy if you could transform your airbrush into a mini spray gun with a cap.
Thats a great question, I think that may be an issue once sprayed, in regards to cleaning as it goes gummy, best thing would be to check with the manufacturer before you try it out 🙏🏻
I have....Sagola, gsi creos, cheap red amazon one, battery airbrush by Ibeautee and more recently Gaahleri Brushes (I actually have a few of those to review as well). I have a close relationship with iwata australia and they gave me a stack of brushes to review so there will be a few more iwata vids for the time being 😉
