Join us from the second Duxford Flying Day event of 2024. Today's show is themed around the special relationship between Duxford and the US military. At 12:00, we're expecting to see flypasts from the modern US Air Force. From 13:30 onwards, we'll be treated to a warbird flying display, including the B-17, P-47, P-36, Wildcat, Spitfire and a six-ship gaggle of vintage trainers.

Enjoy it while it lasts, the IWM long-term plan is to kick out the historic flying aircraft to make room for interactive displays and 'experiences'

@@WillyHollougbyYou clearly didn't read it as at the bottom of the page it literally says: 'The working airfield, with over 100 years of flying history, will remain the heart of IWM Duxford’s position as the finest and best-preserved example of a Second World War fighter base in Britain.Through Transforming IWM Duxford, the rich history of the airfield’s flying activities will be protected and preserved for generations to come' So not sure how you have to come to your conclusion.....

@billyaustin5317 Regardless of what they say, the exodus has already begun. Several owners/operators have left, and more will follow. The area is also going to become a centre for development of electric powered aircraft. Duxford as we know it is going to change beyond recognition.
