My first experience with a cellular trail camera. Lots of cool features and the sensors were very quick to detect motion. #trailcamera , #trailcamerareview, #izeekerig500, #gearreview Product Link: amzn.to/4etCiXy
That’s a sweet camera! It boggles my mind that there isn’t cellular coverage everywhere. I have to go to certain spots to pick up a signal where I hunt to get a signal. The area is over a hundred thousand acres! I’ve learned the spots for emergency purposes. Thanks for sharing your review and the MOTM! God bless and stay safe my brother!
Great review of the trail cam John. I look at the cell coverage in Utah as a curse and a blessing in disguise. If you have an emergency and need to call for help that is the curse, but being able to unplug and enjoy Mother Nature where nobody can bother you is a blessing. Thankfully with satellite service in the phones I guess you can get out an emergency message if needed. Thankfully I have never had to use it. What a wonderful message with the minute on the mountain. Thanks for sharing.
Good review John. Since this was/is your first cellular you definitely can bring a valuable perspective. Good reminder with the MOTM about keeping God first in our lives 👍
Nice review of the camera. My first thought was what you mentioned, most areas we would use one of these does not have reception. Good that it would still work traditionally by recording to the sd card. I could see this being useful at like a construction site in town where you wanted to keep an eye on material and vandals. Plus you could two way communicate with the individuals near the camera. Pretty cool seeing the deer. Nice job on the minute. Have a great day.
Great camera, but love the insights on Samson. When you just look back on that story you think how could he fall for that, but then we all do one way or another. Misprioritizing relationships is a big one. Thanks John.
Very cool trail cam. Looks like it’s designed to set it and forget it. Cel signal is a nice addition. The only downside is when you’re out in the country and your phone have little to no signal then the camera will not work. Too bad the instructions are not user friendly, hopefully it’s not a scam. Great review
Great review and MOTM, John! That looks like a nice camera. Do you know if you have to pay for a separate cellular plan or does any charges get combined with your regular cell phone charges?
I did not have to pay for a separate plan. It came with a SIM card that allowed you a certain amount of data. Depending upon the amount of data you're transferring you may have to upgrade to a higher plan.
Very fair review. Looks like a good option. I wonder if the images look pixelated directly on the SD card? That would eliminate the cell signal as the cause. I may have missed it but what was the battery level at end of test? Did the solar panel seem to keep up?
Hey Pastor John. Great review on the camera. You’re very thorough explaining things as always. I will be picking your brain some more before men’s meetings about this camera. I’m even less tech savvy than you say you are. So I have questions 😮😮😮 See you Sunday
Nice review bud. I’m with you I’d be lost with cell cameras 🤦♂️. I noticed it didn’t have any audio with the footage you had with the deer. That’s a shame you have to have your cameras down by end of July
The T5 is much simpler to set up, took better video in my opinion, and is cheaper. It doesn't have the cellular capability to notify you when something triggers it, but that isn't a big deal to me, so I'd go with it.
