Fucking really stands on its own when it comes to women in metal.Think we put to much B.S. Into weather its a female or male singer.Should just say does it brutalize or not .Ido like this though
saw them last week in Germany when they opened for Arch Enemy, was a great show! Hadn't heard of the band before, but they really kicked some ass live. Feel free to come back for a headliner show ;)
I am not a fan in this kind of music, but there is no denying that this song in particular is exquisite. Its rhythm and melody are carefully structured which rarity on this genre. The Band is unique and indeed can play music, unlike to their contemporaries who are resorting to gimmicks.
The hell is wrong with everyone? There is nothing 'misandrist' here; the video, made by a mostly male band, is of two women getting rid of a man who has wronged them, and does not imply all men do wrong. These comments are coming from an extreme metal scene filled with violent fantasies (indeed, it could be said that death metal is lyrically based around them), which are evidently somehow unacceptable when women direct them towards men. Unless the problem is with a woman discovering her sexuality, which implies a general homophobic attitude. This, I believe, reflects a general backward attitude in the scene - I have seen people complain about Arch Enemy and Abomination purely because they have female vocalists, or heavily objectify said vocalists, and the word 'faggot gets thrown about a lot. The problem is that the powerful masculinity in metal - which can be used to great effect in the right place - is too often misinterpreted as meaning sexism or homophobia. Don't get me wrong, I love this kind of music and the culture that goes with it, but misogyny and homophobia are not cool. On a different note, the riffing in this song got me banging my head. (*Waits for inevitable futile argument to start*)
you probable wouldnt read it, but i still say it, totally agreeing with you, unfortunately metalhead area is full of jerks who likes posing themselves as clever enlightened people with liberal viewpoint, yet they supported things like abuse, i personally knew jerk who pretended to be all cool metalhead, enlighted person against clericalism, yet about the news about girl who became victim of forced marriage he said "girl confess it how old were you when you lost virginity?", there was also some jerk who said "im satanist and would stay like this", yet when topic came about rape he said similar what clerical bitches like to say: "it is their fault for walking at night with naked asses" when i said that most of rape happened in islamic countries where girls are covered from head to toes, he started to burble incomprehensing noises with something like "go cry with shatova(is a rape victim highly taunted in media in my country)"when i said i tired from his nonsense and blocked him, he made screensit that i blocked him, then posted it, saying "all selfrespected metalheads must have it"
So, if this was a video of two men burning a woman because she used to yell at one of them, would that video still be acceptable on yt? Would everyone be like "Yeah, boy power, you go, boy!" ???
The video is intense, I like this keeping in mind that how are some people when they are in a relationship. I hope someone will see this and understand, but not take the video seriously, h ah a ha hh a hahah a, it will be bummer then.
Totally makes sense to Me, unprovoked abuse eventually leads to retaliation or hauling ass to get away from the issue...however, the latter usually winds up with the abuser finding the focus of their redirected, unjustified anger....equality is equality....I can agree on the extreme nature being a bit much unless there is proof of reoccurring issues, but it's a double edged sword as I would agree to its current form, or if the shoe were on the other foot, and the woman, or women were repeatedly abusing the man. Equality is equality, ya have to take the good with the bad, or don't take it at all.
