Really like how this deck is mostly uncommons, and the rares are mostly lands. Great budget option both in Arena and paper!

I absolutely love making decks with cheap cards. Sure it's not going to win any world championships but having a super cheap deck is fun to me.

Izzet Spellslinger aggro is one of my favorite archetypes, and balmor was one of the coolest from this set to me, so I'm excited to see a take on this list from a master deck crafter like you LVD

@@corpsefoot758 With both Portal and Shivan Reef the deck would deal itself a ton of damage. No big deal in some matchups, but aggro is on the upswing since the Meathook ban.

@@LegenVD That’s true generally speaking, but wouldn’t this archetype be one of THE most consistent “Turn-4 kills” on the entire ladder regardless, with a lot of your spells doubling as both buffs AND interaction unlike an opposing Aggro’s one-dimensional tools? (Such as Fading Hope or Timely negating an enemy threat WHILE simultaneously buffing your entire board, pulling you far ahead in the tempo-game with just a single spent Mana each turn) At the very least I would probably start with a 2/2 split of Thran/Stormcarved, if not even 3/1; I’ve been an Aggro player for years now, and I guess I might be more comfortable with winning games at dicey life-totals than perhaps is wise in the long run … literally the only match in which you dropped below 10 life before winning was the one where you couldn’t play Delver on Turn 1, so I dunno; I was never that smart to begin with 🤷‍♂️😅

@@corpsefoot758 i've played this type of deck before and a few portals is definitely ok imo. Running into the wrong mana or a tapland turn 1 or 2 you probably just lose

Love the deck, right up my alley! I found Wedding Crasher gets blocked and traded for a little to easily with 3 health while the infantry already has trample and can get big enough to out-size a lot of ground creatures, and Eruth is a little clunky to me. I swapped the crashers and Eruth(s) out for (2) Battlewing mystics, (2) ledger shredders, and (2)fairy vandals (still trying to figure out the ideal quantities of each). I'm having good luck on the ladder at least at platinum.

The composition of this deck reminds me a lot of the green/white magecraft deck from the last standard. It never worked very well on ranked ladder, but when it went off it was glorious. One match I dealt 27 damage on turn 3.

Hopefully this deck can holds up for a few months to be my quick grind deck as it was able to get me through gold to Platinum (which is my goal every month). I feel like when you get two wins per 1v1 games this deck should hold up well. Platinum rank and higher would be tougher with the down grade to 1 to 1 win-loss ratio. Thanks for the content! Your videos are always fun to watch!

NIcely piloted - always love your explanatory commentary for your lines of play. Pretty explosive if you get the right mix of fuel and oxygen! :) Any room for slip out the back in this deck - creatures are valued at a bit of a premium in this deck, and the versatility of being able to either save a creature or nullify an attacker seems like it could fit? Consider or shore up are really the only candidates for replacement though, and I like shore up...

Main reason I prefer Shore Up is that we can still deal damage with our creature if our opponent goes for instant speed removal.

Well, I tried it (daily quest was UR, haven't played anything but monocoloured these days). It is seriously neat and solid. Funny thing, though, but I didn't play ranked, mind you: I was paired against very odd decks. Seems the matchmaker underestimate this build? Thank you, Legend! Onto the next one :D

Missed lethal in match 4. On the turn where you just played Erath you could have fading hoped the token, play with fired their face and then considered for exactly 16 damage (14 creature 2 from play with fire). Loved the video 💯 Just finished watching the match and saw that you mentioned it 😅

Hi LVD! Great video as always. Something that caught my attention. At 16:23, when you kept the untapped prophet instead of the tapped one, wouldn't it also remove the exiled cards that you have? Since the untapped prophet is considered a new entity despite both having the same ability. Or am I missing something here?

Did you consider Ghitu amplifier over festival crasher at any point? I know crasher has one for toughness and the amplifier’s kicker wouldn’t come up much because of how quick this deck is, but I’m curious.

I've messed around with the deck too legenvd, I think it's close but is missing something like reckless charge/another aggro cantrip. Have you tried the bird with kicker that discards your hand and draws 2? I found it helpful for continuing the pressure when you gas out

Game 1 - minor nitpicking, hypothetically makes more sense to always play crasher, before infantry (unless u have multiple infantry in hand), in case you do want to use a spell. Gets in 1 more point of damage from crasher’s ability & not having summoning sickness.

It's live commentary, but the video is still edited to take out any long pauses in the gameplay to keep things moving.

I know it's a weird problem to have, but I'm currently out of Rare wildcards while sporting a dozen Mythics. Any suggested swaps I could make when trying to put this deck together?
