Just came across this reaction. Probably because I watch this audition all time. This is my favorite ever audition on The Voice. He absolutely did justice to the song. Fabulous!
The 1st time I heard it I watched this song all day every day for weeks.. nearly a year has gone by and I still can't get enough.. I love his new song and the one with Petra Maria 'When Love Leaves.." He's beyond world class..❤❤❤❤
I listened to this a minute ago for the first time. I've heard a million song competition performances, I've watched seasons of song competition shows across the world. I don't think I've ever heard a performance as close to absolute perfection as this... it is astonishing, it is incredible and I am still in disbelief of what I heard. How he did that no one will ever know, but i rejoice in gratitude I had a chance to witness it. P.s. great reaction, you echoed my thoughts exactly, the way he handled some of those notes is unbelievable.
@Pradeep-- So...is that BAD or GOOD? It SOUNDS fantastic to ME-- but i am extremely"in the dark" on anything musical. Just know what sounds gpod tp me.
God he reminds me SO much of Eva Cassidy -the controlled quiet intense dynamic phrasing of both his voice and the guitar along with the sheer purity of the notes
SWIM GOOD next please. Cover by Frank Ocean. He sung it in the semifinal. And won the final Voice 2022. This dude is very special. Have a high pitch crystal clear. Love from Norway 🇳🇴
wOw! What an absolute stunning and emotional version of this classic Bruce Springsteen.😍🥰 I really understand the jugde(s) having emotional reactions, cause I'm having one myself right now. And btw. the o with the / => Ø is pronounced like you pronounce "i" in birth, girl, swirl etc.. 😉
@@Beldvlmnt My pleasure, and yes totally agree on the latter. You have an exemption, Sound of Silence covered by DISTURBED. There it's turned upside down. 😉 Btw, if you haven't heard it yet, I'd advice you to give it a REACTION. 👋from Arctic Norway
I listen to a lot of vocal auditions worldwide. When I came across this one it was WTF. Not only does Jorgen have a Beautiful voice, he also cuts to the emotions of the lyrics as good as anyone I have ever heard. I put him right up there with Angelina Jordan. And coincidentally, they are both from Norway, so English is their second language; hard to give that kind of emotion with your second language. Jorgen knocked it out of the park with every performance on this show, and he ended up winning, probably by a landslide. But other than the audition you just reacted to, here are my two favorites: "Feels Like Home" ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-c1lDl00SE8A.html What he does with this Randy Newman song just goes right to my heart. MAGNIFICENT!! "You Were Always on My Mind" ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-MPGW68rXcTE.html This was his Finals performance, and he didn't disappoint. STUNNING!! I believe he will have a long and very successful career. I enjoyed your reaction, and as a new subscriber, I look forward to more. 😊😊
@@shauna2285 Norwegian. Like many Norwegian's, he has learned English as a second language from the very beginning. So, he and many other Norwegians, e.g. Angelina Jordan, speak English with little of no accent. If you listen to Angelina Jordan speak, you would think she was from middle USA, where people do not speak with a pronounced accent like they do in the south or northeast. Here's Jorgen in his studio singing my favorite recording by him: "Feels Like Home" ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE--pyBRcHTGrY.html Makes me cry every time. Best wishes, Shauna.
He's beyond world class..❤❤❤ I love his new song 'The Age of Worry' and the one with Petra Maria 'When Love Leaves.." What a beautiful and talented young man❤
Jørgen was on INA WROLDSEN’s team, and you will understand why if you react to her song «St.Peter». It’s live, and you might cry. She is so incredibly talented! As a singer and as a writer. You’ve probably heard some of her writing- “Impossible” by Shontelle, which is also known by James Arthur’s cover. Just an example!
My family is from Norway & I learned a bit of the language to communicate when visiting. Norway has really come on strong with musical talent. 2021's winner was also spectacular. Even though I'm an American, I can't help feeling proud. lol
He is Norwegian, but they start learning English in 1st grade. Literally everyone in Norway, Denmark, and Sweden speaks English, and most are completely fluent
I'm so used to only hearing Bruce's songs only by Bruce, this was absolutely enchanting and gave me more appreciation of the song as music, not just simply because Bruce did it...I say all that not to disparage Bruce. This was just beautiful.
Matoma always cries when it hits him in the heart. He said the F-word, Åhh, Fy fader altså means, ohh bloody hell. Lol.. He's a music producer and a DJ travelling around the world making huge rave parties etc.. This wasn't his dream but it started. And he became world famous over the night. This dude is making a lots of lots of money. Something like Alan Walker. If you have heard about him. (also Norwegian) You mentioned you have a Norwegian friend Håvard. The Å-letter is pronounced like the o in love, go, so, have a nice day. Love from Norway 🇳🇴
Pronunciation input. I use the aw from the English AWful for the Norwegian Å. And for the Ø in Jørgen, the UR as in the English URgent or URge. So the prounciation would be Y-UR-gen
I wish you could understand what the judges were saying while reacting. I don’t speak Norwegian, but in Swedish - “Fy fan” means damn. They were speechless and went in auto-pilot! I might’ve heard, “Fy fan i helvete,” which is more-or-less damn it to Hell. 😂❤ *disclaimer, my Swedish is suuuuper rusty. But the sentiment is universal. 😜
I wouldn't expect an American to know Norwegian judges, but you've probably heard what some of them have done: Guy in a suit, Espen Lind, aside from a successful solo career (heard "When Susannah cries?") he's also one half of the producing duo Espionage, which wrote songs like Beyonces "Irreplacable" and Trains "Hey Soul Sister". The girl is Ina Wroldsen, artist and producer. Besides her own career she's written songs for Demi Lovato, Shakira, Leona Lewis, One Direction, etc. She's performed on Jimmy Fallon with Calvin Harris. She has the vocal (and co-wrote the song) on "How Deep is Your Love". The dark skinned guy is Yousef, one half of the rap group Madcon. They've toured with Gang Starr, and had international success with songs like "Beggin'". Crying guy is Matoma, DJ and producer, with songs hitting the top 20 on the US dance charts, and has done well also outside the nordics.
I'm new to your channel. Not trying to be a jerk but the entire performance of the song is just over 2 minutes so why not play that first and then break it down piecemeal? My goodness you are analyzing every sentence?
I won’t think you’re being a jerk if you don’t think I’m being a jerk haha My understanding is for Fair Use, videos must be broken up every minute max - since I don’t own the copyright for either the audio or the video, my commentary has to break up the video and become the majority of it!
