I uh, don't know what to say about this one. Good effort? I DON'T OWN THIS. THIS IS OWNED BY J. CAUTY & SON. PROPER CREDITS TO THEM AND MAKE SURE TO CHECK THEM OUT.
Guys, for the love of god, this is NOT by the uploader, this is created by an English street artist named James Cauty. Cauty "ruined" your childhood (whatever the hell THAT means) not this guy! If you look at Cauty's other work, such as Operation Magic Kingdom, you can see that this is really nothing new. Fun Fact: He also created the single _Doctorin the Tardis_ during his surprisingly huge musical career.
Sometimes, you have to remember gun violence is really graphic, in real life, AND in this splatter cartoon. Also noteworthy: Cartoons used to depict gun violence WAY more than what any new cartoon would now. It probably wouldn't even be allowed to broadcast to kids, OR ON PUBLIC T.V now!
To quote James Cauty himself, “People have been saying since the 60’s that cartoons should show the consequences of violence, or kids will get the wrong idea. Its very difficult to shock kids these days - you have cartoon characters being shot in the head and walking off cliffs, so we have decided to replace them with something more realistic. I’m a parent myself, and if I saw pictures like that I would think of something kids would really love, because it’s no holds-barred violence. The idea actually came from my 15-year-old son, who suggested I do some artwork showing what cartoons are really like by showing their real consequences."
In a twisted sort of way, James Cauty managed to edit the graphic violence of Warner Bros. cartoons without them being slapstick, and somehow managed to keep them funny. Again, it's in more of a twisted sort of way.
Remembered this from my childhood. For some reason, it scared me as a kid, but I’m shakin’ in my boots before watching this rn, broski. Tbh. Update:I’m a little disappointed. I understand it’s old, but looking back on how graphic it was to me, a probably 12 year old, I was honestly expecting more. Idk. The video is still good for its time and I’m sure it traumatized a lot of others growing up.
@@jayasmrmore3687 Nope, it was RU-vid not doing shit about what kids want to watch..... Besides, those miniature air raid sirens only watch Fortnite videos on a site they are not allowed on to begin with. Ironically, Fortnite isn't a game for them ether, as it has a harsh rating of T for Teen.
i would just like to say something, the thing that scares me isn't the gore and blood, but its what happens to the FOOTAGE. this can be seen through some of the scenes where the isnt any sound, blood is on the error screens, and its complete static. it gives off this feeling of this not being planned and someone or some THING toyed with the original footage, like something very wrong happened to the people making it or there was something wrong with them.
Me: HOLY S[beep], NO! Roadrunner: OH GOD, MARVIN! Bugs bunny: ehh what going on doc- HOLY BERRY AND CREAM CHEESE FLAVOR CHINESE BREAD WITH BUTTER AND VANILLA, There's blood all over my box of carrots that I trying to find! Me: ... (Jimmy) Roadrunner: ...
TL;DR: In the original cartoon for 3:40, Sylvester is trying to warn Porky of the cult mice that, later in the cartoon can overpower the pig, so Sylvester's death also leads to Porky dying as well. 3:40 You know what makes this even worse? In the original cartoon, Scaredy Cat, Sylvester's warning Porky of the mice cult that will kill them. Later in the short, Porky storms into the the kitchen to show Sylvester there's nothing to be afraid of only to be captured by the mice and sent to be executed, only being saved by Sylvester when the cat beats the mice with a tree. Since Porky can't handle the mice on his own, Sylvester's suicide here ends up leading to Porky's death as well.
Rating the scenes out of pure boredom: 2:08 the gore is pretty fine and I actually prefer this scene over the original one because the og has black face... *Oof* 3/5 2:24 reminds me something out of newgrounds 1/5 2:41 the ""best one"" by far the heart still beating is somewhat a hilarious and awful detail lmao 5/5 3:18 meh the blood animation isn't that good but the concept of being crushed by that is pretty unsettling 2/5 3:33 this one is kinda funny it looks like tom didn't want to actually cut Jerry like it was an accident lol 3/5 3:41 mehhh this one is not that bad 1/5 3:57 This one would be pretty good too if the blood didn't "melt" like it does, i think it was supposed to make the effect of the blood dripping? 2/5 4:20 the original scene is way creepier than the splatter version lmao, in the original one daffy is shooting at a random guy in the audience and he resumes talking like nothing happened 2/5 4:29 this part reminds me of American Psycho and it also the scene fits perfectly with the gore 4/5
I came here expecting that the edited segments would match the animation (I don't want to discredit James Cauty, but for something so short I expected more, maybe he wanted to make it more visceral). Imagine Tex Avery or Chuck Jones back then doing this for fun to then cut the segments form the original, like an adult joke the animators put some times expecting the editor to see it.
