@@ethercallerret1125 I think we've gone beyond merely reducing taxes. Most of the West needs to take a good long look at tax law and seek ways to ensure a wider variety of people are paying the right amount of tax. Right now we're all placing a large burden on the middle class, and ironically they're the ones who invest most of their cash back into local economies.

@@M3rVsT4H middle class doesn't buy J class. I say roll it all the way to zero across the board but that is just me :)

I think the J-class simply had a rule for the maximum water line.

It's about the Metre-role. When the boat leaning waterline get longer and boatspeed increse.

@@mikaelhedqvist3876 , Not sure if it has a name but the longer the waterline the higher the max speed. It was of course used in the RORC rule where the waterline was one factor adding to the rating, so what was done was to design a short waterline and long overhangs for and after. When then leaning due to the wind the waterline "grew". A 30 degree heel was needed to get some good speed. For the same reason they were slow in a straight downwind and had to be tacked downwind for speed. You might have heard about "RORC bubblan".
