@@AllGoldAGNo. Jcole put Kendrick in the game. Learn the history. Jcole thought this was just another "control" verse from kendrick but then realised this beef is for real between drake and kenny and not just a friendly competition. He went out gracefully
@@senggaopurusa8843 how do you know what he (J Cole)thought? how do you know this beef is real and not another marketing scheme to spice up the rap sales again?? Now I'm going to assume your a fan of JCole so I believe your opinion is bias. J Cole been talking about hes the greatest and says he ready for a fight, so when Kendrick (The Students) calls out J Cole & others the teacher. Then not only did j Cole make a DISS Response fast imo, went back on his word and apologized to the world's and also admitted Kendrick The better MC with out putting on a fight. What great person you know thats still considered Great and apologized for his intended actions. Sounds like a lame to me who wanted smoke and backed out when his Peer called him out. Fuck the history looks what's happening now
I wish J. Cole made something like this in response to Kendrick, 7 Minute Drill sounds like he doesn't even want to be involved but this is such a great track because it has an authentic message and a powerful critique of celebrity culture
I played this after listening to 7 minute drill 😂 Maybe he shouldn’t have dropped an album at all because he dropped this new stuff knowing he won’t top it
ppl will flame on it even more if he made a track like this...although it is a "j cole way of response". The response wouldn't really sound like a response, and even if it was taken that way, it would sound as though he doesn't really think Kendrick is anything of a competition even though its the big 3 thing. in end of the day, Cole shouldve just not responded OR just rap rap just straight try and bar for bar take out Kendrick with emcee skill. I mean if there is nothing to ctritic without making it personal or knowing its complete cap bs, might as well showcase your lyrical skill alone in the diss. Def nothing like Nas and Jay since they were also actually dissing each other
Predicting Kanye, who has always acted crazy, would act crazy is not telling the future. Anyone in the past 10 years could tell u his mouth would get him in trouble as it’s the next best thing he’s known for outside of music lol.
@@As-cy3td In my opinion he really won though. Rap disses are petty, corny, edgy and you are willing to be covered in dirt just for what? You lose your dignity and both Kendrick and Drake lost theirs, it's that simple. In war there's no winner, both sides lose something
@@HartlockYT how tf did you know the specific hue shift. I just tested it to confirm, and you're right. Such a simple adjustment but it looks really cool. I've never seen anyone do a hue shift for a color grade before.
I still love you Cole. Ayo, check this out. My man got mad talent, no doubt 'bout that. He be killin' it on the mic, but even he gotta hit up a u t h e n t I c v i e w s to blow up quick
You know all those writers, musicians, artists that weren’t appreciated enough during their time and their work has passed the test of time? Yea that’s Cole.
"These rappers insecure, they talk about being a man so much i finally understand that they ain't even sure, bout who they are and why they do this" i love how simple and profound this message is.
That's a fact , and I can't wait to reach this level ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-guKp_zsnnxg.html please give me your honest opinion fam
The reaction to his apology highlights what he’s saying on this track. People idolise rappers, their music becomes a big part of life, and they almost become an extension of yourself because you can relate to it. He’s telling people not to because eventually they will do something that disappoints you. Self awareness is what sets Cole apart. & that Kanye meme was off the mark if you want a real woman 😂
T Lo I more mature then you so I don't feel the need to curse and rage at you but I meen that if you do a rhyming poetry it has to rhyme and he does this half the song then stop then goes again and that wouldn't be considered poetry anymore and also you need help if you feel the need to curse people out on the Internet
RK Tech I don't know who Joey is I'm not bashing the song it's just people keep saying it's the second coming of Jesus and it's decent but it's not omg it's the greatest status like everybody is saying
Cole you don’t have to battle any rapper to prove yourself. We all know what you’re capable of. Never quit on us. Never stop making music. Your fans are behind you 100% 🙏
aged like fine wine. cole one of the greatest of all time. what a music right here a u t h e n t I c v i e w s dun took J. Cole oFf 2 da big leagues and fo dat I will always be super grateful
That would honestly be given a warm welcome and be much appreciated, we need more of that. I feel like modern rap is just meaningless words put in front of a beat. Often, the rap is complete gibberish.
+El Hajj Malik El. and he's the type of dude who fucks with everyone,he has a car was slash anything you need done to your whip shop,i have and 87 Chevrolet Cutlass with hydros 13' dayton knock off's,i took it to his shop cause i ordered some new tires for the rim's and currency happened to be there when the tires came in,and they were putting them on for me,dude loves cars we went over my whole car, then i asked him if he wanted too smoke, then he asked me if i wanted to smoke some of the shit he had we chopped it up for about and hour, i bet currency is the most down to earth person in the rap game,he didn't let that money fame and all the other stuff that comes with being a famous rapper go to his head,he can come back to his hood unlike a few people we know from new orleans unless it's with a hundred police,i'm doing pretty good in life right now, i swear i wouldn't never sell out where i couldn't never go back to my hood a without police.
u and me both I discovered this rap legend back in 14' thanks to this website and a few lucky 'clicks' best thing that ever happened to me outside of losing my virginity
Shaun Oneill facts i heard him about 3 years ago and never forget how dope he was but I wasn’t really searching his music or nun till last year seeing his real shit and I regret not listening before cuz I didn’t want to seem like a bandwagon but I see now he’s really underrated
@@naurwey_no it doesn’t. Kendrick doesn’t want to win bad and his whole Mr morale album was about not being idolized and he has issues too. In 0 way does this song apply to Kendrick
Nohe Meza fits the theme of the music video a lot better than a benz. Im not trying to argue though only J. Cole and his buddies know, you could be just as right.
That second verse is actually kinda beautiful knowing what cole just did... definitely embarrassing when it comes to the battle but at least he was true to himself
@@Ericsond14 “My lowest moments came from trying too hard To impress some niggas that couldn't care if I'm on” literally from this song. Y’all don’t even listen to lyrics of music.
i think he means he misses the old rap of kanye and jay z where they had clever lines like "oh my god is that a black card? why yes but i prefer the term african american express" " "mayonnaise colored benz, i push miracle whips" instead of the stupid songs that are just repetitive crap about girls and drugs like lil yachty and all those new rappers
Jcole’s emotional intelligence is so far beyond these other rappers’. He’s apologised because there’s no benefit in dissing, he’s true to himself and that’s what’s rare in so many of these celebrities and people generally. What other rappers say about Cole or anyone else is irrelevant and doesn’t change his talent or the work he has put out.
True. Be true to yourself. But don't claim to be one of the best and hope others to believe it. He took himself outta the competition. You think Kobe gonna apologize to KG? Jordan to Barkley? Brady to Manning? Or Jon Jones to DC? It's a competition, you can respect them while competing at the same time.
@@toshsupremacy_welp u listened this and 7min drill u can tell the difference man tbh i'm not taking sides but 7 min drill did feel like he didn't wanna do that but it was mistake on his part tho
"These rappers insecure, they talk about being the man so much, I finally understand that they ain't even really sure. About who they are and why they do this. I guess I'm included that category, as a [___] who done had the glory" "My lowest moments came from trying too hard. To impress some [___] that couldn't care if I'm on. Therefore from here on out, my hair grow out. I care nothin' bout opinions. I wanna give hope like the fountains you throw pennies in. Hit the store, take your diss, make your wish." Damn
Slim Richard thank you slim, been telling people the same. there's a lot if conscious rappers. but they don't give em a chance. we salute Jcole and kdot for making it big
@suneeday9576 J Fold spent the last god knows how many projects rapping about how he's the man, how MCs are scared of him, how he's the #1 rapper in the world. "I'm the best in the west if you test, if you test, then I'll stretch n* out" "Put your favorite rappers head in a noose, never letting it loose" "We the big 3 like we started a league but right now I feel like Muhammad Ali (the Greatest)" All these words just to tuck tail and run when he finally got tested, he's a joke
@@franjes9999 it's music ffs, bro acted like his verse is from Bible or something tho Bible also got contradiction but let's not get into that. Worry about your life first that's why Cole be like this cause he's trying to be near god now as well
@suneeday9576 yeah its music, idk why you bought the bible up if you don't want to get into it, but whatever I suppose that's kind like how J Fold caps about being the man but then doesn't want to actually stand on it when called out. My life is fine dude idk why tf J Fold fans need to bring up every single thing in order to defend their joke of a favorite artist from deserved criticism but my criticism of J Fold is purely musical. A guy talking about how no one should test him then getting tested and folding ruins the music for me because it makes his raps seem like bullshit. If you feel like Coles personal journey or his relationship with God is more interesting than seeing J Fold vs Kendrick play out musically then that's on you but I don't agree nor do i have to.
@@franjes9999 you see rappers as only entertainment values that's why, every rappers are capping hard and I know it all the time. You get older you will understand why J cole became J fold. If you are so dissapointed, why you here 😂😂 stop listening to Cole
Free thinking is not voicing thoughts on serious topics based on no info other then you want to say the opposite of what people think you would say. Free thinking is having adequate knowledge of a subject a voicing opinions based on what you think about that subject after having a clear understanding of it. Which Kanye does not he has been qouted saying his words are based on feeling not thought.
Holden Taylor just cause u have a thought dont mean it was free he just got out of some kind of mental jail been there for almost a year getting god knows what done to him all cause he warned us about radio station owners and other higher ups(that is real free thinking)smh why choose to live in bliss and regurgitate what the mainstream is saying instead of using your own mind to think for yourself
Crazy how Ye never learnt from this. 6 years later and we still keep coming back to this song every year and relating to the meltdowns a brother having
Ye is still Ye..But unfortunately the more successful you get the harder it gets..Ye the top of the top and from my perspective id never want to be that famous or wealthy.I appreciate a normal life more watching Ye.
@@Hermosa_rosa_blanca yeah that's facts but you know its easier said than done.Heart break is a mfer but when you have kids involved you gotta just accept the fact she doesn't want to be with you anymore and life will go on.Take care of the kids and leave her alone.Im sure she's doing vindictive stuff as well but forget it.
@@Hermosa_rosa_blanca right agreed..I know its hard for both of them because they both are tmz magnets so one will always have to see the other in some form or fashion. That could make it difficult to heal for both.
It’s crazy how real this song is it’s “ beef “ because it fits the shoes of so many fake people and you can tell because they the only ones who get offended instead of getting the message they always reveal themselves
I know a lot of people see this as him as dissing Kanye but it aint in my opinion , that's Cole expressing himself and doing music with more passion and with a growth mindset. No more about attention nor craving the spotlight. He's a real one for this song and till today it still slaps ❤❤❤🔥🔥🔥. Even though Kendrick won the rap beef but Cole to me is always goated like Kendrick. I mean he was telling the truth not dissing
Cole didn't write this to battle. He wrote this from the heart to someone he looked up to and respected. Ye should have seen this call out as an awakening
cole thought it to be a healthy friendly competition, but realised that it would later turn out to be personal and it would all be about hate. so he avoided and i guess it was a good decision, if not the best. and yall know what happened with pac and biggie. these culture vultures just wanna hear bloods not raps. And idc whatever yll say, you came here to bump this track cus u know this shit true
He's so real, unfiltered and honest. His bars always make you think. You can clearly understand him and what he's saying unlike future and those other ppl. His music always gets better ❤️🔥 he was clearly talking about Kanye btw lol 😂
Mabonkor Jabateh "These niggas think they the shit... but boy you can't out-fart me."-Intellectual Real Rapper artist with Double Platinum No features J.Cole
so much respect for this man! he is true to who he is always.. even when we want blood he doesn´t fall into the trap.... this above all, to thine own self be true!!! you are a real one J Cole!
