Literally just found this song yesterday and it’s becoming one of my favorite songs by Cole. I’ve been listening since I was 13. 2014 forest hill drive was released and I was playing football, working out in the gym and listened to the entire album front to back and was enlightened. I meditate and am motivated thru my days listening to him along with playlists of other artists. I love music. But he’s really been essential part of my coming of age. I moved from Washington DC to the bay CA to take care of my grandad and be a barber. I’ve been to the tour concerts including 4 your eyes only and KOD. He’s really positively influenced me and I’m proud of who I’m becoming as a man everyday
been working on a “J. Cole’s top 10 verses” list and fuck, i can’t help but feel like this song belongs on the list, or at least the honorable mentions. such a gem. undisputed classic in the old ColeFam community.
