Perfectly executed storytelling as song lyrics. Anyone can write rhymes that sound cool but never guarantees it will have any substance. This is what hiphop was always meant to be about. Dope AF.
how am i only just hearing this now? the amazing production, emotion, storytelling… i can’t believe how good this song is. this is only like the second j. cole song i’ve heard, i have to listen to more now.
Let's see how many legends are seeing this in 2024 what a music right here a u t h e n t I c v i e w s dun took J. Cole oFf 2 da big leagues and fo dat I will always be super grateful
Yes, J.Cole, one of my favorite artists. You can understand every lyrics, it all makes sense, it all fits together. Bought this the day it came out when it wasn’t that big, now its huge! ❤️❤️
Actually this is what happens with a lot of people when they are younger. You always thought that you need to perform just like a porn star, but the other person that's with you also hasn't any experience
J Cole's storytelling is insane - the way he paints such a clear picture of what he was doing and how he was feeling is so amazing. His delivery is on point too - the way he so clearly articulates his words helps you always know exactly what's going on in his songs and in his mind. Truly a generational talent
I’ve heard this song in passing many times but never really listened to it until yesterday when I tuned into the lyrics and now I cant stop listening to it. Such a great story worked into a song
Hey I know you hate this but please hear me out. I have a dream, not the one you see when your asleep. The one that doesnt make you sleep. I'm 14 years old, I can't afford paid promotion. I don't have a mic I have to use my phone, I would love it if you all give me a chance. Tupac, Eminem both were at the same position I'm in right now. Since I'm Indian, everybody laughs and says that I will never be successful. I wanna prove them wrong, I wanna show them that my race is something I can't control. What I can control is, that I try my best. Not saying that you have to like my music, just give me constructive criticism or just give me a chance, Please. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-qStLPKRbGrs.html
i love this isnt just like one of those generic songs about sex, i like how this one has a really well told story which is executed perfectly and is also really really catchy
@@MrXtriss well yeah lol i just mean he tells the story in a more descriptive that isnt just like "i fucked a bitch" he actually goes into his feelings and stuff at the time
This is easily top 5 rap songs of all time man I don’t know how anyone can debate this. Everything from the simple interesting story, how every line contributes and furthers the story and stays on topic, funny lines and the amazing twist at the end that loops right back to the catchy hook. There might be other songs that are more lyrically complex but that doesn’t always mean better. This is literally a perfect song.
I love when J. Cole does his storytelling songs! Most guys can relate to this, because we've been placed in this type of situation where a girl would ask if we're a virgin, and we wanna sound like an expert to spare the embarrassment. At least, that's what I did in high school. J. Cole inspires me to tell stories in my music. I hope I can make an impact on the world like J. Cole continues to do each day. Feel free to give my songs a listen. If you like what you hear, that's all that really matters to me.
+cheri618 ... i mean,,,have an open mind..videos are getting so repetitive...the secret is to see you in THEM.... FIRST TIME WATCHING THE VIDEO....HAVE HEARD THE SONG HUNDREDS OF TIMES
I laughed throughout the entire damn video. Well-made. A great metaphor for how love encompasses the entire damn animal kingdom, and it's simply told through his dog's eyes but the video still ends with J.Cole (shot at his and his girl's feet on the bed). Any video that brings about multiple interpretations is a good damn video.
Wilkine Brutus LMFAOOO I WAS LAUGHING THROUGHOUT THE WHOLE THING TOO!!! But at the same time, I was thinking this is pure genius!! using dogs to tell the story. they're facial expressions and actions matched too and I was like omg awwwww
Wilkine Brutus Check out Plan B on my channel please! I know y'all expect people who make these comments songs to be back, but I'm a female rapper from Detroit,MI and I think you"ll like it. Thanks all
Destiny Langston something called just let 2 dogs chill together and film it all and cut it to look like a love story, no training necessary you conceded fuck.
I’m 34 and happily married. For young men I have to give you some advice to be happily married. You need to go 3 relationships before you’re ready to settle down. These 3 relationships teach you thing to be the perfect husband. But they do hurt heads up 1. J-Cole “ Wet Dreams”This is obvious. Just explains the first time 2. Micheal Jackson “Dirty Diana” This girl is nothing but trouble and everything inside you knows this BUT you can’t help yourself because she is so wild you ignore all common sense and go with her. 3. Rod Stewart “Maggie May”-This is an older woman when you’re in your young 20s who uses you to recapture your youth. You’re enamored with her because she is so mature and makes you feel special but she is just using you to fill a void in her life now that she is out of her youth herself.
9 years later and this song still takes me back to when I was 15 and all the cute guys wore stussy and primitive with too much axe but yet it smelled so good and life was just simple and full of a lot of “first times” if you’re 15 reading this just know you are currently living some of the best years of your life, enjoy them while they last
Fucking finally j cole made a video for wet dreamz. I fucking love this song man. A good % of males that have lost their virginity can relate to this song. J Cole is 👑
