Consequence must be trying to get into Kanye’s good gracious. Cole clearly stated in the song that he admired him as a hero and disliked what he became over the years. The point he was making is that we can love celebrities/artists but instead of being idolaters, we need to call them out when they’re doing wrong.
Why would J Cole call Kanye a false prophet before he knew the guy well enough to make the claim? It makes no sense logical to do that. You can only say something like that once you see behind the rap facade. Hell most of us saw the Jeen-yus documentary Coody made. Where were you when Kanye was falling apart back in the day? Cons you was there before J Cole. So you should have helped your man's out. And now you want to throw shade. Foh
Bruh I swear the human race is intelligently Devolving lol. Like nigga, it’s been how many years between Cole meeting Ye’ up until the false prophet song ? Lol.
Cole didn’t diss him tho Cole criticized him just like how he criticized one of his best friends on the same song which was Wale and him and Wale are still cool and him and Kanye have been in public together since the song.
Consequence is killing me talking about who he could sign ain't got no money and ain't popping his damn self J Cole has been out and pass consequence bum ass a long time ago🤣🤣🤣🤣
Why do we have to ride against him? Cause you do? First of all Hov don’t stand for nothing of integrity. Secondly, jayz calls himself hova is blasphemous and basically a false prophet.
As a Cole fan I'll say this...Consequence didn't say anything to cause fans to be upset and respond emotionally. However, there wasn't a False Profits when Cole was trying to get on because that version of Kanye wasn't the erratic version that we started seeing around 2015.
yes he was yall just wasnt seeing it until yall were told to hate trump and he wanted to prove a point that yall are controlled and brainwashed to think what is good or bad and yall disliking ye is proving that.
😂😂😂 the whole point of “false profits” is realizing your idols aren’t who think they are up close 😂😂 so yeah Cons is right “he wasn’t a false profit then”… that’s kind of the idea 😂😂😂 and I still love Kanye still but Cons talking in circles
Jcole addressed Kanye when he started acting crazy what type of friend would let you destroy yourself he seems like he is a yes man to a certain extent. #Toughlove ppl need it
I never messed with Cons like that but I love the loyalty towards Ye. He's a day one and it's realer than Yayo cuz he's supporting his bro when he's down. That's a real one.
This doesn’t make sense…No matter now much Cole wanted to get in the game what he said on “False Prophets” was absolutely correct…of course…the whole point of the verse was him showing how much his views changed over time when it came to his idols…Consequence sounds stupid
I don't think Cole was speaking from a perspective like he has a problem with Ye, but more so from the perspective of a fan like a lot of us. And the fact of the matter is, Ye and his antics over the years tend to overshadow the fact that there was a point in his career where he was one of the most sought-after artists/producers in the game. But I can't be mad at Consequence for standing on his loyalty to Ye.
That's just the consequences of growing into your own and growing out of worshipping your idols before they become their rivals. It really it ain't that deep because everyone is a born sinner and it is a cold world but we all have different graduation times and graduate from different subjects or the same subjects but on a different level.
That's why this one t.i. Line always stuck with me "f them lil units that they name a sell it a break your to see yo favorite rapper l*me as hell". That's exactly why the saying goes never meet your idol because you'll always be disappointed.
It's crazy to me how many people took this song as a diss towards Kanye or Wale. He wasn't speaking just to those individuals he used them as an example of certain toxic mentalities. If anything he was trying to help them. And even Wale was like "Bro, why you didn't say this to me in private, why make a song about it". But J. Cole used this song to explain something not only to Kanye and Wale. He was trying to explain something to artists in general and to people that adore them . For example, if you are an aspiring rapper and you hear this song, it might inspire you to avoid these type of mentality that Cole is critiquing. J. Cole is different breed, he always think's about the message. Most of rapper's don't get it because they all about the ego.
But it’s a low key way to get people to listen to your songs😂😂😂😂That’s why I stopped listening to j cole he started all this name dropping until I figured out why🤣🤣🤣
Belittling every kind of criticism as hating is going to be the death of black men. And you talking about Con going against Kanye haters is rich when dude was part of the list not that long ago.
worshipping KANYE gotta be the most retarded thing a human ever did. calling this nigga YE now doesn't make him less stupid than he was. like nigga reborn now cause he hates the jews. the world hates the jews for thousands of years its not a big deal
@@bakihanma5849 If you can criticize him for what you know he said is wrong but lack the courage to speak about what we all know to be true than shut up 🤫 period. It has nothing to do with hating people and it’s not about Ye it’s about being free .
@@wweghorstgoldbridgesgreatest You know the answer to your question and should be free to speak about it from a righteous constructive place but you know the consequences so you rather ask me. If he spoke no truth he would not have hit a nerve. He would simply be written off as a sick man in the middle of a psychotic break in need of his meds.
It’s kinda hard to say because in one since I feel like it didn’t need to be spoken on from Cole about Kanye but the message needed to be said in general also. We need to all stay away from worshipping celebs. Or anyone but the Creator.
People need to stop wanting to know about entertainers personal lives and beliefs. No one's perfect and we all have said or done bad things we wish we could take back it's learning to be better through mistakes and experience. That's the main problem with cancel culture, people searching internet history a decade ago so eager to be offended and punish someone. There are many levels to all crimes even murderers have taken their punishment, returned to society and learned from the experience and others never learn but most people not all deserve a chance for redemption.
Consequence may not have understood the point of the song. Also, how old is this interview? I'd hate to think that homie had this message for Cole in 2023.
I will admit I am not aware of everything Kanye was doing with his label. But I was paying some attention and listening to the music. I don't recall Consequence being at the forefront, or being looked upon as someone who was calling shots. I could be wrong. Please correct me if I am mistaken. He is speaking as if things were running through him in some shape form or fashion.
Nah J Cole predicted what would happen to Ye and it did and I fucking love Ye..Cole too. They say never meet your idols they not as perfect as you think
People can say what they want about Cons. They always try to clown him but if you know anything about him if he wanted to… he could go back and forth with Cole easily.
Kanye West has changed & thats clear to see, you can feel like someone is your ideal & they let you down. Kanye went from praising blacks to tap dancing for Trump. Con is mad AF that all of these talents he's seen on there way up have surpassed him. He never said he didn't take anything away from the experience.
Dear Consequence. Please stop bro. People’s opinions of Kanye have changed as Kanye’s opinions have changed. If Kanye is a “free thinker” with his thoughts, then we as people, are free to think what we want of him. A clown is a clown. Being rich, does NOT make you less of a clown.
I never thought Kanye was all that deep or insightful. He was always just as "materialistic" and "sexist" as the rappers he was treated as an alternative too. With that being said, there was a massive difference in Ye behavior from 2007 to 2016 and Cole reacted to that.
@@iAintSayDat Hey Mama, Crack Music, Paranoid, All falls down, Jesus walks, Champion, etc. he was talking about real stuff before he got to the Kardashians.
J.Cole has a way of being fake yet seem genuine. J.Cole finds a beat and lets the producer use it and he is a all around good guy like the beat wasn't fire and made him look good getting easy marketing for doing something nice. Airing me out in music when you got my phone number is a snitch ass thing to do.
