Tribute to the great J.D. Crowe from our 2020 IBMA Bluegrass Music Awards featuring a rendition of "Blackjack" by Jerry Douglas, Sam Bush, David Grier, Missy Raines, and the five 2020 IBMA Banjo Player of the Year Nominees: Ned Luberecki, Gena Britt, Gina Furtado, Kristin Scott Benson, and Scott Vestal.

Yep he sure is and some of the younger players haven't figured out what J.D. has done to this day. They need to go back and listen some more. J.D. knew how to do it right and do it with taste.

Mighty good pickin'. I saw JD at a local bluegrass show, when he came with the last New South. Great show. I've been a fan for a long time now and listen to his music regularly.

I very seldom write public comments. For this absolutely fantastic recording I have to. I have been a lover of Blugrasss music for decades and have a lot of Bluegrass videos, but this recording is the best I have ever watched. When I am sad or stressed I watch this recording again and again until I am happy again I especially love Gina Futardo's solo. When you think that she has finished, she puts an extra lick leading to Scott Vestel's solo.
