Hobi is BTS's dance leader because of his sharp memory for choreography and a keen eye for perfection. He can even organize his members during chaotic and confusing blocking. Hobi clearly works well under pressure, which is a huge plus in the military.
For those who didn't know, Hobi is currently working as an assistant drill instructor for the recruit training center. Hobi's strict yet forgiving nature is perfect for his new status.
What makes Hobi a great mentor is that he allows mistakes despite being a perfectionist. But don't let his sunshine smile fool you. Hobi can get pretty intimidating, too.
The reason why I believe that Hobi brought his BTS dance leader status to the military is because of his reaction and interaction with his fellow soldiers. We all know Hobi monitors BTS and his facial expression gives away what he truly feels. And just like when he's with his members, he gives that authority vibe but with a friendly touch.
As BTS's dance leader, Hobi has mastered the combination of fun and professionalism. Hobi acted the same way in the military. He allowed his fellow soldiers to take a picture with him but maintained that authority stance.
