j-hope "Chicken Noodle Soup (feat. Becky-G)" | Reaction 

You all missed the total concept of why this song was done. You evidently do not even know why the song came about in its originality. Monster truck & low riders are part of the history & background. Did you even read their lyrics to why they did this song? "Chicken Noodle Soup" originated from DJ Webstar & Young B (Bianca) in 2006 ... a song for healing the soul.... for the kids in Harlem. An area in US known for gangs and harshness of life. Chicken noodle soup with 7up is known for it healing of aches & pains - comfort food. The song is symbolic. Was a viral hit...dedicated to healing the soul to bring joy and hope to the ghetto. Jhope wanted to do a tribute to this song as its one of first songs he danced seriously to in the 6th grade. It led him joining the underground street dance crew scene. Goes back to his roots in music. Motivated him to live his dream. Then for Becky G the same thing. It was her motivation to leave behind culture that said women couldn't make it as rappers. The song empowered her to go for her dreams. Jhope paid Young B & Webstar $2.7M for copyrights to remake the song that got him started driving him to get where he is at today. Then Jhope since coming from scene where he had made himself a name as a street dancer got dancers from all over to come to LA to be in this MV. Giving them credit in the MV. Jhope paid for all expenses but then gave the song to people free. You have a choice free or pay. Many bought the song ... became hit in 70 countries within 24 hours. The song keeps breaking records for a solo artist. 3 languages 3 cultures - English • Latino • Korean - coming together to send a message no matter where are from or what our culture is we all have pain we need to heal from. Heal using music and dance as a way to escape the hardness of life. A hope for better tomorrow. The core of what Jhope & Becky G are all about. Brilliantly done. Blessings to these two young people. Enjoyed parts of your reaction. I found it sad you did not get the homage being done. Homage to fact music & dance can be instrument of hope for those coming from oppressed upbringing.

Bighit actually knowledge the original song and artists in a statement they release on Twitter and the original artists are getting royalties plus the ARMY(BTS fandom) also trended Thank you, Bianca, because her song and dance moves inspired J-hope to dance, because of Bianca J-hope is part of BTS. Plus 3 languages in 1 song and diversity in the mv. Also giving credit to the dancers is great because J-hope knew how it felt to be an underground dancer.

BTS were on break: 1 month. That month is already over. However, j-hope went to LA to film this MV. He wrote this song for his mixtape "Hope World" (released for free on March 1, 2018) with fragments of the 2007 song by the same title (see credits). The track didn't make it on the mixtape though. It was finally finished as a collab with Becky G (and also released for free). Both artists credit the original song as inspiration in their childhood.

What's really awesome about it is this is just a project of Jhope that's for free. Just him enjoying his life 💜💜

Jhope used the chicken noodle soup chorus to pay homage to the original as it was the one of the early songs he danced to when he started his career as a dancer on the streets of GWANGJU. He even like gave $3 million to webstar and young b(OG artists) and they showed support and were thankfull to him too.

J Hopeeeeeee, with Sprite on the side..lol.....Did you know Becky G. was the Yellow Power Ranger (children show). This song inspired J. Hope to dance when he was a child.

Fans/ARMY have been waiting for this since he talked about it in his previous vlive chats. I’m sure you already know about the song, it’s a remake of 2006 track by artists Webster & Young B (Bianca) but I wasn’t sure when J-Hope would release it. He said it was the reason he found his passion for dancing and how he joined BTS, he also mentioned this was supposed to be part of his first mixtape “Hope World” and that it was his idea to do a remake cover of the song which gave him inspiration to pursue dance & music. It’s super impressive how they mixed in three different languages Korean, English and explaining the back story of the track within the song and Lol can we talk about the amount of extreme diversity in the MV.
