I really like the idea of Jameson being the ultimate spidey fan, it makes sense as well, he holds spider man to unrealistic expectations, but he does smear his image for money, so maybe deleted scene is appropriate.

Everything he has built and worked for pales in comparison to Spidey being willing to sacrifice himself for no reward. Spidey is everything that Jamieson isn't and it makes him feel like a horrible man. Spider-Man is brave, selfless and compasionate which Jamieson admits he isn't and as a result is envious of Spider-Man and wishes he could be the kind of man that Spidey is.

There are a lot of absurdly great moves done in the edit for an absolute ton of movies that we mostly never hear about, but we always hear about the failure. An example of a good deletion was the death of Obi Wan Kenobe turning into smoke instead of the original scene where they had a prop body get cut in half and flop on the floor. That said, a lot of cut content is from movie studio directors and producers, in order to make the film fit in very specific time slots for TV and Theatres.

This is exactly why I loved Toby Maguire's spiderman. The web shooting powers came from within. The limit on the type of webs also made him a bit less equipped compared to the renditions of modern day. It makes him work intuitively with his limited web types.

The 2 types of webs that Toby can lob makes fights challenging. That is what I meant when I said I like this type of web shooting abilities.
