In an election - that was widely believed to lead to a hung house - the people of the state have given a clear mandate to National Conference and its allies. The ploy to have a massive number of 'independents' to spoil the game - did not work.
However now the split between Jammu and Kashmir - is even more wider - Jammu going to the BJP and Kashmir to Cong-NC. But like Haryana - Congress continues to struggle in a direct fight with the BJP - winning ONLY ONE seat in BJP dominated Jammu.
