I love JK Rowling, but the people that wrote the majority of the Cursed Child don’t seem to know anything about Harry Potter. There are so many things wrong with the book, it isn’t even funny. Many fans, including me, don’t consider this book canon (even though JK Rowling said that it is).
I haven’t even seen the play and I want to so badly! Haven’t read the book either, but I’ve watched maybe 10+ reviews on the book, I’ve learned the storyline from watching RU-vid videos and as a die hard fan I’m so heartbroken. Like how can anyone think this play or the book was a great and beautiful story?! Like I’m speechless... I haven’t seen or read the book because I don’t want my mind and imagination to be ruined by this story. There’s so many things wrong with this book it’s just unfathomable that JKR could even say she’s proud of this work. 🤯 like is there something I’m not seeing?! I have a problem with almost every part of this book accept the fact that Harry’s son is Slytherin..
I cannot grasp how the woman who wrote Harry Potter reads this shit and sees her own characters being completely destroyed and says yeah go ahead it's canon now...like wtf?
I know everyone in the comments is saying the play is amazing and it probably is. But you guys seem dazzled by the lights, spells, and effects the play gave you. Reading the book on itself shows horrible character choices, writing, and storyline. The story was a pile of shit. I really can't see the play being any better besides the special effects. Harry Potter Musical did it ten times better anyways.

Their relationship together was good, but the whole entire plot could’ve revolves around something else other then the time turner...and didn’t J.K Rowling destroy the time turners in the fifth book? Yeah, well. Albus and Scorpius was good, I wish they ended up together or something 😊
The story makes no sense,but it looks great and is fantastic when you actually see it on stage. It does not excuse the story, and I do not think it should be canon, but it was great when I saw it.
Cursed Child was the worst bit of FanFic I have ever had the misfortune of reading or seeing. (Only read it. Wouldn't pay for it) Absolutely awful piece of crap. She's diluting her work and taking away from it
Also, for time-travel, I know how you could use it effectively, well, Albus, Scorpius, and Rose plan to go back in time to change the location of a magical artifact that the opposition is after, but as they’re getting back to their time, Albus almost get killed, and Albus and Rose have to the Hospital Wing, Rose has to go because she has cat hair from Polyjuice potion, trying to transform into someone to go with them, they break into the ministry, and get the time turner, Rose open the drawer where it’s hidden with Aberto, and they successfully do it, but at a cost.
“ help her out abit” that’s the most ridiculous shit I’ve ever heard they fucking made the book so shitt it’s like they didn’t even read through all the books it’s literally like they watch all the sort of “interesting” parts and went like “ alright that’s enough to write a book” and like the book was already shit then they went for a play and they made Harry Potter totally different he completely changed his personality and there are also many parts where the dialogue is nothing like what the actual characters would say

In my rewrite (I hope you use it for a remake of the book), most of the months in first year go by uneventfully, the first real scene with problems is in scene 5 of act 1, Albus and Scorpius chose to be put in different clubs, and the relentless bullying Albus endures only drones on, the rising action is seeing two boys enter a door that immediately shuts behind them, a new Hogwarts mystery, the climax is Albus having visions of that exact door, and seeing blinks of what’s inside, second year, Albus is asked to deliver a note to the Headmaster, and while he’s outside the office, the Headmaster and some bloke called Harper are talking about taming some animal, Albus thinks they’re up to something, as it comes up a lot through the school year, and in the final confrontation, they take a horn from the creature, and that’s one of the key things in the plot for 3rd year, the year starts with two new transfer students coming in, one of the is Adelena Delacour, a stunning quarter-Veela, and Delphini Rowle, this year, the trio, (Albus, Scorpius, and Rose), find out there are traitors, and as they do some sleuthing, they figure out two of the traitors are people they thought as friends, Charon Parker, and Maddox Case, at the end, the third traitor is revealed to be Delphi, the book ends (because it’s a wattpad story) with Harry seeing Albus of for his fourth year, where they get into the blanket argument, and havoc rises when a duel with some masked figures take place, Harry realizing one of them is trying to kill Albus, tortures him, just as Albus knocks him out, the scene ends with mentions about a lair, the Horn is key in this year too, and yeah, the figure out that the creature in the lair is the one that was tamed two years ago, they beat it, but this is very traumatic and they’re never the same after this encounter
I swear to God I could literally get an 8 year old to write something better than this garbage. Honestly, it doesn't make sense, the characters traits are ruined (Especially Harry, in one line he told Albus Severus: "Sometimes I wish you weren't my son")
Seriously. Bellatrix had "the thing" with Voldemort. The man doesn't love anyone. And can we just keep with the fact that potters go to Gryffindor wnd not try to switch it around. And also the book is called Harry Potter and The Cursed Child. Not Albus Potter and The Cursed Child. I like that Hermione became Minister though. That's the only good thing about it. The rest is just way too crazy and doesn't make any sense what so ever
Draco crying and begging harry to let their children be friends is enough for it to be not canon. He didn't even thank harry for saving him from the fire even though he got against voldemort 😡😡😡

Vibhu Patel there have been rumors that there might be a movie, however JKR and WB has refuted those rumors. JKR said that the play is a stage production and will only ever be that.
This is the best book in the world i love it read it a thousand times i don't know why some people don't like it well i love it its funny too out of the harry potter books this is my favorite
Then Voldemort's daughter wanted to humiliate Cedric to make him a Death Eater and so Voldemort was reborn and returned to the dark world but there's no making it because scorpius and albus made it Stop and cedric no longer became a death eater end of story🤧🤍
