Onyx is not built on Ethereum, it was built on a Ethereum fork called "Quorum" and even it says in the advertisement that it is "inter-operable" with Ethereum!
5:10 I didn't hear that Onyx is built on ETH. Neither are JP in 'partnership' with Ethereum. I heard that they have developed an ETH 'compatible' platform - one that they own. It's possible they could have a completely centralized and off-chain platform that does not benefit the real ETH networks at all.
It doesn't really matter though, as they will feed off each other being compatible. The more widely the standard is accepted the better it is for Ethereum.
Downside is homegrown solutions aren't scrutinized to the same level as others that have been around for many years. Rushing a product to market will eventually catch up with a negative result.
The Biggest Problem with all of this is th fact that People are Still "Building on ETH" ETH is Shit! Costs too much and is Too Slow. Solana is The Better Network for all of this . And I don't care What anyone has to say about The FTX / Solana Relationship ..... Solana didn't Cause the FTX Problem, SBF Caused the FTX problem ...... Solana is the Way
Solana is part of the way. The entire world won't run on Solana. It will run on multiple chains. Blockchains are like financial highways. So, who in the hell wants to navigate on one highway? Take the rose colored glasses off, it's distorting your tunnel vision. Use your peripheral instead. You'll have a clearer view of things.

Not good for ChainLink. That was one of my fears here. These big banks are just going to come in and copy these crypto solutions, use their own and we will be left out.

Is there any legit connection between JP Morgan's Onyx and XCN? From what I can tell, XCN (Onyx protocol) was the new rebranded name back around Jan 2023, well before JP Morgan did this, and unclear how JP Morgan can do that unless there is some connection.
I hope Chainlink. It's going strong with partnerships. And Crypto holders are the new generation of wealthy entrepreneurs. Most will want to deal with Chainlink because it is better and tested tech, and becauae it isn't JPM.

no it won't. JPM doesn't work in isolation. There is plenty of cross-institutional work being done that ensures this platform will stay permissioned and most certainly PRIVATE. The very last thing any of the global banks want is a decentralized token.
