J Prince talks history of how he built Rap-A-Lot, Son Discovers Drake, and Detail About his Book ► For everything BossLife: www.bosslifeworld.com ► The Blog: www.theconnectmusic.com ► Instagram: @theconnectmusic
Ernest reed that wasn’t the most profound thing but it was relevant coming from a youngster he dropped lots of Jews indirectly you just have to Discern what he’s saying and read in between but his messages are not for everyone
People scared to pray, they might actually get blessed if they believed. Notice J always relaxed, claim and never raise his voice. But is well respected...
@j s It will teach you about loyalty and taking care of those close to you. Also about business from J prince's point of view. As well as not doing things from emotion. One part in the book he talked about a producer whom he found and was working with murder INC and producing songs for Ashanti and Ja Rule. Irv Gotti did not know that the producer was with rap a lot and J prince owned his publishing. Because if J Prince told the from the beginning it wouldn't have amassed a nice check for Rap A lot. That is one of the many smart moves I learned from it.
Much Love to RAP-A-LOT in the 80s they were boots on the ground. Always in my neighborhood passing out food for the children, giving game to those who listen and letting us get in his limousines like it was nothing. Most of all J Prince has always been a open source for the community. Big respect to Jazz. He was a rich kid but never treated us like we had nothing. I Love the family, the hustle, and movement that he has passed down through the years
@@alexsamayoa7105 u know, at first i thought u were just talkin shit. but now that ive rewatched this. everybody in the room has a eerie respect for him*.. look at 7:00 slim got a nervous tic from Jprinces words. maybe those 20 years that sir rap a lot got was actually J's 20 bricks. >_> who knows, im just talkin shit .
As a kid from Birmingham...Rap A Lot influenced the entire south we finally had our own shit..didn't have to compromise the way we talked walked or lived our life to fit in..J Prince made it cool to be country..now 30 years later everybody sounds like the South
This is dope!! I’ve seen plenty of J. Prince interviews and they ask him the same questions. Salute Slim and the crew for making it conversational instead of repetitive question and answer. Great sit down ✊🏾
J.Prince is such a wise man... His calm demeanor is so relaxing. I could listen to him talk for hours. When a legend like this speaks, you know what ever he's about to say will be real.

K-Rino the best rapper in Texas. Even Z-Ro said that's his only influence. Scarface even know how good he is, so does Bun B,etc. Show the underground some love, and put him on here.
J Prince and Thugga really stand up dudes man. You listen to Slim raps and you'll hear that same entrepreneurial spirit that Prince talks about. Talkin about ownership, not no pill poppin and flossin. 💯💯💯💯

J.Prince is a real boss and I have always supported the Geto Boys from day one!.... One of my favorite Geto Boys songs was” My City Under Sege “🔥..I listened to my city under sege every morning as a youngster every day before I hit the block in New Orleans
J Prince spittin that generational wealth knowledge! I been talking about this to my people for years!!! That’s a huge problem in the hispanic community as well. Everyone wanna floss right now and not setup their future generations for success.

The Godfather of Houston right there! Htown Legend. J. Prince and Rap-A-Lot meant so much to me growing up. True love to J. Prince fam!!!! Slim appreciate you for this big homie
I'ma OG from Chi-Town shout out to J Mane this Man & the Geto Boyz set the tone for me in listening to Real Nigga Rap from Da South Everyone was listening to East Coast including me bcuz that's all was out there back in the early 80's But then Da West Coast show'd up with Ice T NWA & Too Short but when Da Geto Boyz came out it was OVER!!!! Everytime I hear one of these interviews with J or Pimp C it's like that are saying the same thing that I have been thinking for years I'm from Chi-Town but H-Town is my favorite music it's Too Trill
Great podcast, Slim! Get you 2 more cameras so you can switch the shot when your guests and panelists are talking. It will make editing much easier for you.
Slim... the podcast been legendary my boy. Rico... what up G? I bee watching the Boss Hogg/Boss Life movement since the beginning. Y'all held down that nawf too strong.
J. Prince is one of the few people I want to meet and get advice from or just listen too. I would do an intern list for the knowledge. Quiet and respected legend. He should make a movie call the Real Blueprint. Been in the game x amount of years and still standing tall.
