You guys should totally start reacting to these, I loved the deadpool and boba fett reaction you guys did a while ago.

The rap was close to even though I agree J.R.R. Tolkien had better points in the wrap which also makes sence, for if you compare the two writers I think J.R.R. Tolkien wins easily. Tolkien became big on his own and basically created the fantasy genre with new races and languages on his own, without needing to rely on sex, tv, the suggestions of others to put in Dragons, etc. His World is far more in dept and yet seems more fantasy like. While George R. R. Martin seemed to rely a lot more on the opinions of others and the movies. Many who love the GoT movies has not even read the George R. R. Martin books. Lord of the Rings was King of the movies and Game of Thrones king of series, but in writing Lord of the Rings has had far more readers and influences and also deals with far more diverse cultures, races and Places. George R.R. Martin even admits to being influenced by J.R.R.Tolkien and has the R.R. from him too.They are very differnt style writers where Tolkien is the more romantic, using poetry, love, morals and far more sensitive characters than Martin who has a much tougher and rougher style, with far greater focus on violence, nudity, betrayal, torture, nasty characters and moving from action to action without a lot of scene setting, adventure or discription.J.R.R. Tolkien would be like classical, new age, folk, film music. To Martin more heavy metal, hard rock or techno feel to it.I love G.R.R. Martin and the Game of Thrones, but I would take J.R.R. Tolkien and the Lord of the Rings in comparision any day. Martin is too political, chaotic, violent and sex focused for my liking. I prefer a fantasy which has more feel of longing for something better, and Lord of the Rings has far more of that. Martins series really feels like it comes from this World, Tolkiens books feels like it from a World better than this one.

Well, George is just contemporary mass culture, Tolkien is classic, after HBO Martin will have a long way to become the classic writer like J.R.R. Personally I think that his work will be forgotten after the show.
