J.R. Ramirez on Manifest ending, "Michaela will always be the love of Jared's life," and more 

Maybe it’s just me but I didn’t appreciate how they played out Jared’s role. It gave me a feeling that because he’s so handsome they gave him a slight “player” vibe. Jumping from one tent to the next so quickly, and the way he was already flirty with Drea on the last episode right after Michaela gave him back the ring. They moved him on too fast. He deserves more, he’s not just a pretty face. They didn’t do him justice, in my opinion. If they wanted to brake them off it couldn’t been done differently.

As much as I liked Zeke, I really felt a much deeper and stronger connection between Jared and Michaela. I was longing for a different ending, but it is what it is… I’m happy for JR and Mel, though.

Great interview! Honestly the finale did not live up to my expectations but I’m glad Netflix gave the show a chance to have a proper ending

I know that a lot of us wanted to see Michaela and Jared endgame and although that didn't happen I think there were a lot of beautiful scenes between them in this last part and I think it's something that as an audience we deserved and that I particularly loved to see. Obviously there will be those who are going to be happy and those who are not with the end of them but still I think that what JR says about the end of them makes sense

I'm glad that JR is with Melissa in real life.. I'm sad that jachaela didn't have a happy ending.. but in some way they did. In real life.. which is better

JR is having a really hard time trying to explain what the heck happened there. The ending didn't make any sense. It's almost painful watching him trying to rationalize an ending that has no plausible explanation. I don't envy him. I would be exhausted. No hate for JR or Ellen, they are lovely people. Actors can't be blamed for the perverseness of the creator/writers. JR and Mel were brilliant and made the show in so many ways. Best of luck to both of you. P.S. The "You gotta be kidding me!" first reaction was spot on. I understand the subsequent sugarcoating.

I absolutely hated this ending. Been watching the show just to see Jared and Michaela together, now it's been completely ruined for me.

I think its great that they're actually together in real life. I really hope they end up together because they always had good on screen chemistry and usually that translates in real life.

Jared deserved better. #TeamJared all day, every day. I seriously hope that Jared gets his own cop drama spinoff series. I think that would be really great to watch. Especially with the way that Season 4 ended, the possibility is right there for it to happen. 👮‍♂️

Zeke is really an amazing character but… no. Jared should have been the one. And I’m sorry to say this but I found this whole pregnancy thingy to be very nonsensical. Not to mention the ending where we come to learn that Jared never really wanted to propose, but only did so out of sympathy for Michaela.. I mean… seriously. Where did that come from? 😅 Sorry but.. after everything Jared went through & did for Michaela, it sounds ridiculous to me. Manifest is one of my favorite tv series of all times, and I was really looking forward to an extraordinary epic finale but.. I have to say that I found myself pretty disappointed, I’ll be honest. I’m sorry…😥

I love that JR and Melissa are together IRL, but I'm sorry, I love that Mick and Zeke ended up together. She never wanted kids, Jared did, and now he gets a chance to start over and meet Drea early, and same for Mick with Zeke.

Michaela is broken inside and she never hid it.. Zeke is also broken & somehow she thinks the broken guy is the one.. Understand Jared's explanation of the breakup at the end but Mich will continue running to Jared in the years to come and Mich also kept saying she doesn't want kids while Jared wants it all... I wonder if Jared will also keep running to Mich but will stay with Drea because of the baby... Jared you're such a manwhore but you're a loved character through it all... Oh but wait.. did JR call Melissa his GIRL? AWESOME.. If they are together in real life, I don't miss them not ending up together in Manifest.. LOVE YOU GUYS...

Jared and Michaela were never meant to be togther because from the beginning Michaela had her doubt's about the proposal and when the plane 828 happened she realized Jared and her were never meant to be together because every time they got togther they always ended up breaking up. Jared was a kind sweet guy but he wasn't the best he just wasn't that endgame for Michaela even after everything they went through it just wasn't meant to be, they were just in a jeaurny to learn and grow and find thier other half. Jared will always have love for Michaela and Michaela will always have love for Jared but in the end of it all they just didn't work out even if tables were turned they were not meant for one another. Zeke and Michaela were always meant to find each other and be togther and thier connection was solid even if it didn't have drama or spice they had a true Genuine connection that sparked thier realshinship. I was team Jared and Michaela in the beginning but after watching the whole story line I am absolutely team Zeke and Michaela because they give end game vibes. Zeke isn't like Jared because he didn't make the same Choices or sacrifices. Zeke had his own sparke with Michaela he wasn't the best but he always helped Michaela grow as a person and straighten thier love for each other even after he died. Jared and Michaela were a good romantic love story but Zeke and Michaela were the love story to remember and begin because in the ending it felt that way. This is my opinion, no negative comments here .

I loved the Zeke and Michaela ending. I just wished we had more Zekaela moments. Jared wasn't the right match but JR is a good actor.

I'm sure JR hated the ending as well. But he has no choice but to go with the writers or creator's version coz he's part of the team . There was totally no chemistry between Zeke and Mick. I don't even know why she married him . Mick should have been pregnant with Jared's child in the finale and not Drea. Coz I don't think he loved Drea like Mick. Drea was just a fling or no strings attached situation. And she knew that Mick was the love of his life. Audiences would have been happy if Mick had said yes to Jared in the airport and they walk away hand in hand to seal their love. Especially after what they both went through they have always declared eternal love to each other. Then what's the point of loving each other but not choosing to be together. Doesn't make sense. !

Worse ending , Mick and Jared should have need together. Everyone got to be with the love of their life and you are telling me the only one that don’t are them

Jared spends all four seasons pining after Michaela, breaking up his marriage to Lourdes, putting his job on the line to support her crazy theories, then by the end of it he doesn't argue with Mick when she tells him to be with Drea, and almost immediately at the airport accepts being broken up with again? It was a terrible finale tbh. Wasted everyone's time.
