I produce music as a hobby nothing serious and whenever I listen to J-rock I always think "I won't be producing music like this any time soon" because you would need all the live instruments and whatever but this is giving me ideas now 👀
You got it. I made my first j rock song with a simple bass sample. Free drum samples, ample guitar lite and an amp sim. It wasn’t great but at the time I was very proud of it.
I'm a bit late to the party but on the other side, I can make riffs in FL Studio that I can't actually play on guitar. And then try to learn how to play them. Especially a lot of really fast bass fills. So I kinda feel the opposite way
Bro take inspiration from like Season 3 Sword Art Online opening (ADAMAS by LiSA) or the JJK Hidden Inventory Arc opening (Where Our Blue Is by Tatsuya Kitani).
This is already great, but it's crazy seeing how much you've improved in just that last 10 months! you're current videos are such a big improvement mixing wise.
It's great, but there's a concept in Japanese music called "Ma" or negative space in a song. This is missing that Ma, especially in frequency space and dynamic contrast. Look it up, it might help :)
Hello i am interested in private lessons about making j rock beats. Price is negotiable just let me know as Im very interested in taking music to the next level. If possible could we find a way to get in contact?
