J. S. Bach: Sonata No. 1 in G minor, BWV 1001 Siciliana Presto Katariina Maria Kits (16), violin Dombrovski Violin Competition Riga, Latvia 30th November, 2011
That was terrific. I'm working on the Presto right now and you make it seem much easier than it is! Great phrasing, you caught all the right accents...casting a spell with the music!
Lovely performance, lovely girl... (you might also try drawing out the tempo in the Siciliana a hair more : it is a highly charged bit of preromanticism and it's simple beauty invites a ponderous lingering there before the windy storm of the presto-finalé : a movement which clearly shows why modern jazz greats always adore Bach), but the recording, sound and image, leave much to be desired... and indeed, desire is born of compassion and visaversa... which translates into emotion (the motion of our interengergy)... Music being language to all these unseen foundations existence offers...
