If you do not know, Baráti is Hungarian, his name means; Friendly! Excellent violin sound and masterly performance, could Heaven have a better sound? If God does not like it, He misses alot! Music like this is a great blessing, in a world full of misery and conflict!
The chaconne from the partita #2 is for me specifically about all that misery and conflict in the world. Personally, I would hear it in my mind when I was flying away from someone that I loved.
Mr Kristof Barati is a giant artist with excellent technic and nuance. i really felt the music in my heart. It seemed to me that Bach was playing the violin. Besides, The recording in studio was so pure, clean and net. Thanks for uploading. I wish you health and much more success.
his approach to chords is unique.... he applies enough weight to grab 3 strings at once which creates a more percussive sound, but his violin does not scratch. in most interpretations, the chords are rolled slightly slower to avoid the scratch that often results from being too aggressive.
Having listened to so many interpretations of these work besides playing myself, I can say that this rendition can be easily said to be one of the best among the great artists so far.
Excellent interpretation and wonderful intonation with a very good feeling. His instrument is also awesome. It’s sounds so clean and full and golden. It is such a fine thing to hear him because he can be compared with the golden age of great violinists like Menuhin, Milstein, Heifetz, Grumiaux, Szeryng, Francescatti, Oistrach, Stern and others.
Excellent! One of the best recordings of solo string Bach I have heard to date. I only wonder what the same performer would sound like playing a baroque violin. The modern instrument can sound a little harsh or forceful by comparison, but this is very nice. So musical and the intonation is a joy.
Bach sonatas and partitas just make me soooo happy.❤ Barati violin performance of Bach partitas and sonatas is touching and thrilling. His violin performance describes me: very quiet and reserved some times, and .... very passionate other times. I'm so grateful. 🙏
Bach is the foundation of all music styles that followed his time; stemming from his outcoming to the classical, romantic, modern, and contemporary jazz. Everybody that loves music should linger on Bach. Mind you, once you go under this wonderful composer you will never be out of his grip. His solo violin partitas will glue to your taste and will never leave you. The present post of Bach's violin partitas for solo violin, as interpreted by Kristóf Baráti, renders a most transparent Bach, untinted by unduly affectate performance. Thanks a lot for this post!

I love the interpretation its like more romantic period esque more than boroque esque

Love this version, especially the first sonata! Great channel, by the way, really good content. Thank you so much for sharing the great musical treasure that is classical music, subscribed!
Require lots and lots of hard work. Not necessary a genius to be a Bach player. The only genius is the composer J S Bach himself who has a mind of the most sophisticated computer in the world.
@@leedy6233 Hahn’s intonation is almost unparalleled. However I do find her recordings to be a bit blander than recordings such as kristof’s, especially her earlier ones.
I don't know what he does in Russia, his Hungarian name and musical ability cover's the whole World! Thank you Internet! Köszönjük szépen, Baráti örökké az én barátom lett!
Today, violinists are two a penny, don't you ever believe it, if you learn to play one scale, that does not make you a virtuoso, I actually have a English heritage, in Nottingham 1967 I was naturalised, nationalised, and who knows whatised, one of my daughter, than five years old, wanted to learn ballet, but had not the personal pursuit which ballet deminded, so, she decided to learn to play the Violin, since she now hadsome Hungarian blood in her, I thought, that was the next best thing. However, by now sge cost me some money in tutorial, she and me agreed upon me bying the best tutorial, which I have purchased for her. Six month past, and I asked; A...., how your study goes, she said; I finished the book, I thought, all three years, she insisted with a yes, but she could not play a scale, not even in C major! Than I realised that the mastery of any instrument, take discipline, and this you have to dish it out to your self, and next to this; practice, practice, and more practice, till the day you die! Oh, I have falen into my own trap of self expectation, I, with the Piano, I was 18-years of age that time, believing that in two years I will be a concert pianist, alas, I learned that dedication is not enough, you need the blessing of talent from above, today, at 82-years of age, I am happy to listen to others performances, rather than that of my own! Oh, I am not complaining, I have made a first class engineer, even today, I can make wonders to come true on a Lathe! Metal work, of cause!
Thanks Brilliant Classics for uploading this nice rendering of the sonatas and partitas. The Hungarian violinist Kristóf Baráti, whom I did not know, gives a convincing, emotional, attractive version of this classic work. His violin playing is warm, assured and musical. Being a Hungarian, he shares the deeply emotional and singing soul of this noble people. He is still young (41) and has had a notable career in Hungary.
@@cyllansse I actually have Milstein's recordings on CD. I admit it is foolish to rank performances among such great artists as these. I guess it's just a matter of how one feels on a certain day!
BARATI με κι ας κλαίω!!!!!!!!! EXCELLENT PERFORMANCE!!!! I HAVE THE CD AND, AMONG MANY OTHERS LP'S AND CD'S OF THE SHAME MASTERPIECE, THIS IS THE ONE I LOVE THE MOST!!!!!
Yikes. I hope youre still young, because that my friend is a daunting task. Faith and practice will get you there and I hope someday we hear your recording of them. #Practice40hours
I borrowed a double (?) vinyl record (from a Swedish library) with either the father, or son (?) Oistrach playing the Bach solo partitas many years ago. I returned it, but have since then been trying to find this recording without any luck. This recording is so good, and I am glad I found it.
When I want to get out of the noises from inside or outside whatever, and to be immersed in deep silence, I just depend on Bach sonatas and partitas. I'm eliciting new energy from myself while listening to Bach. I appreciate his deep inspiration in his music. 💚
Presto: are you running a race against Hillary Hahn or Perlman? No one doubt of your virtuosity, but i think the right time is played by Henryk Szeryng. Menuhin, Heifetz, maybe Milstein can be taken as faster versions but still on the expected time. Anyway, your entire performance is amazing.
Can't more people do violin solo music? Maybe with a simple cello melody in the background, but not distracting. It's perfect to read a story where the mood changes a lot, since the beauty of such music can be interpreted in multiple ways. It also isn't as ear blasting as all that epic stuff.
Now we know what the violin capable off, in a Masters' hand's! Go Baráti, you are my soul mate unto eternity, yet, live music await us in God's Mighty Heaven, away from this troublesome world, the mess Men, God's Creation made of it! Thankyou Yahushuah HaMachiack for regenerating menkind in accord of your Template, Yourself, our true King!
Einfach wunderbar!
