The difference is that the color of icing makes no difference in taste at all. You could put green icing on chocolate, vanilla, red velvet, lemon, any other flavor of cake, and the frosting doesn't alter the flavor of the cake at all, and therefore wouldn't matter.

Fun fact, they do make grape flavoured ice cream in Nova Scotia, but it’s in a mixed flavour called moon mist, (grape, banana, and bubblegum, sounds insane but is VERY good) which is a local delicacy 😂

I really wish I got along with my brother the way these guys get along. They are great to just play with each other. This is a happy quiz. No falling through the Veil, no going back to the Dursley's, no nastiness with Malfoy. The kitchens are active around the clock for late night snacks. Just ask the Hufflepuffs. One point that has always driven me: why do wizards needs glasses? Shouldn't they be able to just fix their astigmatism? You can grow new bones in the infirmary, but you can't fix poor vision?

Funnily enough I went to England a lot last year because I was long distance with my boyfriend and whenever I was there I picked up a grape Fanta from one of those American food stores because we don’t get grape Fanta in Germany 😂

Sat there thinking about it for a second and I think the happiest moment in HP (at least for Harry himself) is probably when he's made plans with Sirius to live with him shortly before his death. I think that's peak innocent-happy for Harry, when everything finally starts coming up aces but before the consequences of the next few years start piling on top of him.

I feel like I need to point out the hilarious dichotomy between the two midpoint ads. Basically, grapes have high water content, which is why eating them is an easy way to stay hydrated. But it also means when you freeze them to make ice cream, they’ll turn into icy chunks. That’s all fine and dandy for an ice pop recipe, but not what anyone wants from a scoop of smooth ice cream. Plus, leaving the skins on would ruin the texture, but peeling grapes takes away most of their flavor,

Fun fact - Grape flavoured things are significantly more popular in America, in U.K. we don’t even really have grape “soda” (until recently - Fanta I think might have one). (I know some people will say they have it in some shops or some random places - I mean in general “grape” as a flavour is as popular in U.K. as “blackcurrant” is in USA).

There was reference to grape icecream in The Goonies when Chunk gets stuck in the fridge.. Grapes have too much water content and just turns to a thick icy mass. Not sure why they don't have artificial though.

10:48 The reason I was told is that it's the water content of a grape combined with the lack of demand. Water content is also why there's no a lot of cherry ice cream, but more demand means it's a thing. It's still not a satisfying answer though, because why can't it be artificial flavor? Then water content isn't a concern.

Your talk about Ron made me think again. Of all the plotholes, Ron having Charlie's old wand is somehow the worst. You guys found so many good explanations for plotholes over the years but this just doesn't make sense. The only reason would be saving money - which is obviously what Ron's different hand-me-downs are supposed to be - but why would Charlie not keep using it? He needs a new one then, right? It's not like wands are treated like brooms, which essentially are the iPhone of the wizarding world (you always want the newest one). Was the old one damaged? We don't hear anything about that and when Charlie using a slightly damaged wand would be a reason to get a new one but Ron instead using a damaged want that didn't chose him on top of that and while he is supposed to learn magic would be more cruel than cost saving. And none of the other 6 Weasley children is mentioned to use an old wand. I dunno, this is more infuriating than it has any right to be.

I read some fan theory somewhere (or saw it on YT) that when Charlie got his dragon studying job he was given a wand by the company he worked for, like being given a company car. Since he didn't need his old wand and Ron needed one for school it got handed down.
