George is my favorite twin because his is the "mastermind" of a lot of their ideas, and Fred is the more vocal of the two and does more of the actions rather than the brainstorming

Can I just say that I love the little random slice of life tangents you go off on when all 3 brothers are involved? The bit about getting left in charge in the minivan was so relatable. That's just one of those things that every family with multiple kids does but never has any reason to come up.

I absolutely agree with Ben's interpretation of Percy's lack of gloating after getting 12 OWLs. I never interpreted it any other way.

Agree with Ben about the description of Percy’s behavior in Chamber. I interpret it as he wasn’t gloating much and that was cause for concern. Also, I never suspected Percy of having anything to do with the attacks.

the problem with Mrs Weasley's clock is that the first time it is mentioned in Chamber of Secrets, specifically in Chapter 3 thereof, it is described differently: "The clock on the wall opposite him [Harry] had only one hand and no numbers at all. Written around the edge were things like ‘Time to make tea’, ‘Time to feed the chickens’ and ‘You’re late’." The next time the clock is mentioned, in Chapter 10 of Goblet of Fire, it is described as such: "Mrs Weasley glanced at the grandfather clock in the corner. Harry liked this clock. I've always remembered Percy's owl's name because I remember reading it and thinking how funny it was that his name was Percy (as in Percy Jackson) and he had a owl named after a Greek god.

I don’t know if the red herrings of Percy being the heir of slytherin was done really badly but I literally just realised he was meant to be a read herring 😂😂😂 looking back it’s obvious, he pops up in random places and is shifty but the idea of him being the villain never crossed my mind once

I always read it as he was being serious that Percy wasn't acting like himself because he didnt gloat nearly enough! Also definitely Fred was the more dominant twin, and it was Fred who died. Imagine George trying to carry on suddenly without that dominating part of his life 😭

I actually really like the part in CoS where Percy is reading "Prefects Who Gained Power"... It's just sort of ironic, because Percy could totally have been reading about Tom Riddle, but Harry and Ron assume the book is boring.

The reason why it’s written as “Fred and George” likely has less to do with Fred being more prominent and more to do with the fact that, in English, we tend to put the shorter word first when using conjunctions. (ie. Ladies and gentlemen, etc..) But I do agree that Fred felt as though he came up more often.

When Jay said "they rarely appear apart" I was immediately reminded of a meme I once saw, It said that when Molly was fighting the boggart at number 12, she saw her family in turn dead, but with the twins she saw them together, because even in her worst fear, her worst nightmare, she could never imagine them apart.... and then her crying over Fred... and for the first time in their lives... they were indeed apart. =( Of any of the main characters I could see coming back as a ghost it would maybe be Fred.... too many jokes left to do.... he would probably team up with Peeves, help run the store as a ghost.... But then part of me thinks.... he led such a full life, never stopped himself from doing what he wanted.... he would probably have no regrets and go on... dunno.

I just happened to read the chapter on the CoS where they mentioned Percy was acting weird and didn't gloat at all about this 12 OWLs and I very much agree with Ben's interpretation. That was their example of how really weird was Percy's behavior, cause they expected he wouldn't shut up about that, but he was being unusually quiet lately.
