He been working on it a shit ton too like you can see tons of videos and people talking about ur it every off season about him working on it. And it has been working his jumper before the he started in the league was terrible and now it’s looking a lot better and if he keeps working on it he’ll be unstoppable.
I see he's mastering thee off the dribble shooting particularly, and he's understanding how much space he needs in particular. Excellent ball player so far can't wait to see what else he will bring to the table
The man is an MVP candidate in his third season, i think that Ja is great but he might be a bit overrated considering the fact that recency biase has put him in the same discussion of people like Giannis, Jokic, Embiid etc
I like his game bc he gets to basket effortlessly and he gets there quick, no need to spam dribble moves or trick his opponent just one move and go. Effortless.
Not sure I've ever seen someone this good, and I'm a long time UNC fan and watched Jordan's every move. He's unguardable at twenty two years old. He could probably average 40 a game.
He's not underrated at all he's properly rated until they win a playoff series he's a MVP level player but you gotta win to get respect not just put up numbers that's what annoys me about Jordan did nothing until pippen came and people act like he was even close to being a winner
Never cared about the Grizzlies. But since last year I try to catch as many of their games only because of THIS guy. Easily the most entertaining player right now.
This kid is just incredible to watch, he has amazing athleticism and he's getting better at every aspect of the game. I just hope he can stay healthy, some of the moves he makes, make me nervous but I want him to win, I want him to make Memphis a winner
I enjoy watching Ja run the floor like he has no fear At All!!! This guy has a bright bright NBA future and Big Payday ahead of him at the rate he’s ballin out on the court!🙏🏾
U can tell he grew up watching Jordan Highlights.. his game reminds me of young MJ.. even the double hand snatch block Jordan did a few times. He’s been attempting it lately.. almost got one last night. Best player in the game today to watch outside of Kyrie
Ja Morant is a top 10 player already.... unmatched athleticism, unreal quickness, developing his jumper, leading his team like a 10-year vet. You are not gonna see someone with this kind of ability come around often. A constant highlight reel. He has some A.I. in his game, some D-Rose...but, he is such an amazing talent, the outer universe is his limit, not the sky.🔥💯
Literally plays a lot in a sense of a young Derrick Rose. Although, I think skill-wise; Morant is miles ahead of how Derrick Rose was playing at the same age. But that same ruthless aggressiveness to attack the rim that’s in the likes of Iverson, Rose, or Westbrook.
After I watched his first few game as a Grizzly,I remember saying to alot of ppl, give him 3 yrs he will be making plenty of noise in the NBA..Here we are... And yes I've been a Grizzlies fan forever like before Z-bo..Let's go Grizzlies!!
Size wise, I can see the comparisons to Derrick Rose, and Russell Westbrook as far as a high flying "under 6'4" small guard" is concerned, and I think the comparisons to Iverson and Kyrie are also because of his size mixed with the overall "handles" (although Irving and Iverson broke ankles like nobody's business). But if you look at Morant's moves, and his rangy frame... He studied Kobe a lot. And not in the way that "all these guys grew up watching Kobe," no... Morant studied Kobe the way Kobe studied MJ. He plays like he's taller than he is, especially with those sick hops. But his footwork, and penetration is like Kobe/MJ. He's smooth like they were with a myriad of moves that he's not just doing with talent. He's using strategy. Take away Morant's athleticism, I believe he would still be an All-Star MVP caliber player. Dude's got a lot of skill that comes with really studying the game like Kobe did.
@@kemalardilgulez6185 Yessir! Facts. Westbrook was known for causing his team to unravel down the stretch. A friend of mine use to say "There go Westbrook again, playing Go-to-hell ball." lol
Lets all hope that Ja has a future without a lot of injuries using athleticism so much will wear down the body and well we all wanna see Ja play for as long as possible although i do think that Jokic and Giannis are the two best players in the league if Ja works on his defense, starts to develop more consistent shot and if he improves his playmaking i do definetly think that Ja can become the best player in the entire league him developing a good midrange and 3 point shot would give him the added benefit of not using too much athleticism
What a player! If he can add consistent 3s to his game, add a little bit of muscle on his frame - he'll be different and unstoppable. My dude is 22 and already a HOF slasher and drive to the basket. Alongside Kyrie, Bron and Giannis he is the best finisher at the rim in the league already! Top 6, 7 passer as well already and his rebounding is getting better. Pretty good defender as well. Just stay healthy and keep rising my man!
I know he just got injured so the timing is funny, but that wasn’t his fault. But what I noticed from these highlights, and the Grizzlies games, is he has worked on his landing. I see a lot of both shoes hitting the floor at the same time
