He’s not responsible for their success. Look at their record without him. They blew out the champions in the playoffs without him. He’s still a boarder line superstar, but the grizzlies did it as a team.
@@stinkosm Well to start the Grizzlies have been within the top 10 team in the league for years. Long before Ja joined the squad, but fast forward to today. You sound like a real hater, anyone who knows basketball can see that no other team gave the warriors as much of a challenge as the grizzlies. To say we haven't had a good playoff run is BS. Im no a warriors fan but I will never short them on they talents and what they do well. Get that hate out your blood my guy.
They really are... Also her and Jayson Tatum chemistry during their interview was also fire.... Probably more so than her and Ja's chemistry during their interview
I have been definitely TEAMJaM!! Love this interview and so happy thrilled and excited for him, his family and Memphis! Ja is a kind thoughtful young man, and he will be around for a while! He has a good inner circle, that supports him to keep him grounded as well....I think he is going to be just fine!
I live in Memphis and I love love love this young man !!! He has brought so much joy to the city ! The whole team has . I’m so happy for him and his family . Happy for the team ! Love the grizzlies!! Love my city !!!
because people who hate Ja self confidence are miserable bums who were unsuccessful at achieving their dreams and have to resort to living an ordinary life so they feel the need to hate on someone a trillion times more successful and rich than they are to make them feel better about themselves
@Kelly Q please. what universe have you been living in. confident people have always been respected the most. shit a simple google search can show you that. people have always treated you the way you treat yourself. if you show that you believe in yourself and put yourself on a pedestal, people tend treat you as such. if you show that you don’t believe in yourself then they always will treat you as such.
Warriors fan here. Memphis was the toughest opponent that the Warriors faced in the playoffs. Could have easily gone the other way. Memphis is not only young and fast, but they play great perimeter defense. I was at Game 4 and their defense stifled the Warriors for 3 quarters. If they made their free throws, they would have won that game.
I feel like everybody is going crazy about what he said about Jordan an I get it tbh, but I think he didnt mean it in no disrespectful way. He just said that because in his opinion why say that somebody is better than you if you want to become the best player in the world and he said like 10 sec before that clip that he would want to thank MJ for everything so he didnt want to disrespect him in no way he just wants to keep his mentality of chasing the goal of beeing the best player to ever play the game of basketball. but thats just how i feel about it
Exactly is a good mentality to have by not saying anyone could beat you mamba mentality right their which I like he never meant to disrespect Jordan he just being competitive but people think anything is disrespect and the media gonna push it that way since they got nothing else to talk about
I was already going as a fan of them for almost a year now but seeing this interview this game a whole lot of respect. Rooting for him to big bigger in the .NBA
Ja....KEEP THE CONFIDENCE!!! People "lacking" or "don't have any" will DEFINITELY hate!! It's great to believe in yourself AND have that love/confidence from your FAMILY but KEEP IT GOING DUDE!!🥰 You're doing right; disregard the hate cause IT'S ALL LOVE!!!! I'm a natural born Memphian and the Grizz AIN'T NOTHING TO PLAY WITH!! WATCH OUT YALL!!!!
Y'all talking too much about his confidence That's how he came in the league if I think he can cook MJ I dont know why y'all mad at him for It's just doesn't make sense And ja is clearly a top world level in his domain so whatever come out by is mouth is for legit to me cuz he always delivered so y'all need to chill ...
Well ..always delivered? His first round performance was pretty trash overall outside of the game winning layup and huge dunk and 4th qtr that game. He shot BELoW 39 percent for the series, heck in gMae 6? 4-14 and 0-5 from 3 with 5 TOs. How many games was Pat Bev getting by him at will? As well as all of the other wolves who got him switched onto them. Inhonelsty was blown away he didn’t get more crap for how bad he was playing most of the series, but then I remembered he is $$$$ for the league so it makes sense. But ya. If the wolves weren’t so stupid they would have won that series easily. And if I remember correctly, it was Tyus Jones and Bane who came up huge in a pot of the grizzlies wins. That being said, he did play great I felt Vs the warriors, on offesne. But again, they were down 1-2 when he goes out. Then while they go another 1-2 without him, they did secure what? 30 point win without him? Idk. He seems like he’s getting way overrated even tho he was one of my favorites as a rookie
I’m a GSW fan, I like Ja, I wish the best for him. However, I will always want the Warriors to beat whatever team he plays on. 😁Stay humble Ja, you will go far in this game. Just don’t give social media any ammunition to criticize you, social media is the devil.
@ Nita...... This little Richard wannabe doesn't have one once of humble in him.. I can't stand this clown. Anyone who yaps too much I don't respect. He needs to keep his mouth shut and just play. All he did throughout the past season was yap both him and his sorry team. I wasn't having that crap. He's my number one target right now in the NBA.
Man, everyone blew this up over the MJ comments (which was prefaced with the competitive attitude context in the first place), but this was a great interview!
Ja gotta realize the people tryna get under his and others in his positions skin on social media are like informants. Don’t even indulge in the negativity they’re trying to bestow upon you brother. Keep hooping and doing your thing💯
Now that I actually watched the whole interview….. People love to hate, the media need something to talk about, twitter needs to be off Ja phone cause that is negativity. Ja is honestly a great guy but people only have a hive mindset and want to jump on any trend. I am wishing for Ja success
How can you hate on ja morant, Dude was an underdog in college and exceeded expectations as a 2nd overall pick. The grizzlies were falling off once they lost Gasol and Conley. Know the franchise is still in a winning position.
They love to forget that he wasnt even a real prospect in high school. He may come off as a little arrogant sometimes but you have no choice but to respect the grind and his impact on the league
So many people butthurt over another man having the upmost confidence in himself, weirdo behavior. Of course people at the highest level think they are the best, they have to or else they wouldn’t be at that level.
I think it was just him refusing to say that anyone is better than him, rather than cockiness of actually thinking he could beat anyone. It seems to be a mentality for him imo
Did not know or heard of Ja Morant before the play off's. I was very much impressed with him as a player, he is the next generation of players that will probably see a championship in his future. Did not like his attitude the first few games, told my grandson they are playing the Warriors, they will see, and they did. Now that I look at him on You tube, I like the young man. Will watch for him in the future, once Steph and this generation move on to make room for the next generation
I like Ja, but he definitely ain't cooking MJ. What was Jordan other than a 9 time All Defensive Team player? Jordan was much much bigger, stronger, and relentless on one on one defense. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think Ja has ever faced relentless defensive guards with the size and strength of an MJ or a Kobe Bryant. Please correct me or give me the equivalent defensive player that's faced Ja since he's been in the league.
Bro confident. Wear his heart on his sleeve. Honest genuine..Im just saying, if im doing a job in a certain profession, why would i say my co-worker is a better worker than me to my boss?......
I don’t watch basketball but my parents watch it somewhat so when the finals were on a watched a little bit of it and I gotta say. Ja was the most impressive player I have seen in a sports game. I don’t watch sports other than UFC so when people hype a player up like Lebron or Messi or Ronaldo I’m never impressed with the performance I see when just watching them for 1 game randomly. But for Ja in the finals I was literally like “holy shit” this guy is literally making every single basket he puts up. It was actually shocking. I wasn’t a fan of the dances and stuff but his performance amazed me.
Ja I really see you in a different light, I'm a WARRIOR fan but I do have your team as my second favorite team. Last year is last year good luck in the future. I'm glad I decided to watch this interview, your very well rounded and I love how proud your dad is. Mom keep your foot on him, your mom is doing a great job and I love your daddy daughter bond. blessings to you and your love one's. Just look forward and leave the what "IF's" alone, your a great basketball player.
There were 0 incidents of Jordan Poole doing anything close to him doing anything to his knee. It's good that morant owned up that Jordan did nothing and that he was just frustrated and that his mind was all over the place. But he should be more direct saying Jordan did nothing close to any injury attempt.
@@pov.e7588, Ong that’s how she make you amped up and say things you wouldn’t normally say. Gotta stay focused and grounded getting interviewed by her. 😂😂😂😂😂
@@roverjohnson6854 I mean it seems like it worked because Ja is out here saying he would cook MJ. Lol. I can even tell by his body language that she got him all shy and meek but also got him trying to show off in front of her saying all that nonsense. 😂💯
By watching the whole interview, I hate the media for playing a small clip out of context. Obviously, the kid was have no fun about everyone and anyone, Tiger, MJ, Messi, Bron and his Dad
I just watched what other NBA players think of Ja!! All of them spoke well but I’m most in agreement with Yanis!! That Ja could win a championship with Memphis. He doesn’t have to go join another team or player. He seems happy to be a grizzly and gives his best every game!!
I watched Ja when he made a run in the NCAA MARCH MADNESS TOURNAMENT, these young cats really go through a process to get to this point where they are groomed to be articulate with their speech and just overall conduct and mannerism,, big props to the men that take this as their JOB, Keep it Ja, success is all but guaranteed..Peace and Love Youngblood..
Ja Morant has a wonderful and passionate personality so him saying that he would cook Michael Jordan does not surprise and there's no disrespect in that as he said it would nice to play in the era that Jordan played in so it really has nothing offensive to me some people might think it's offensive and so disrespectful but it's just confidence and passion.
Only losers have a problem with what Ja said. Anyone who has competed at a high level in athletics knows what he feels. I was an All-American in college and I would say the same thing if someone asked how I’d do against another competitor. Even if everyone knew I’d lose that match up, I would still bet on myself.
There’s “another competitor” and then there’s the GOAT. You didn’t play pro so no need to drop “I was an All-American in college” on RU-vid comments. Talk about a “loser”…
Ja would definitely crack MJ.. but I'd be interested to see Ja's game development tho.. like.. we've no choice to think of Jordan in his prime. Jordan was always good but he wasn't always prime MJ. His first ring was at 28.
@@Da6m2n hence why I said "crack"... as in what A.I. did lol.. can't throw shade to the GOAT even tho him and his colleagues still can't recognize Curry as the best 3pt shooter ever lol.
When Kobe was young and he had the same mentality about being able to beat MJ did people have a problem with him? or was that confidence and the right mentality? I have no prob with him saying that. MJ would destroy him but still. Also Messi the 🐐
Ja ' love ❤ 😍 this young man..anyone with a successful life miserable people feed off ..otherwise they have no life..keep being a KING ..doing your THANG is for you & your family ..I watch the NBA for your show .🤗😍🥰🤩😘
