The Memphis Grizzlies 2nd overall pick and Murray State basketball sensation, Ja Morant, returns to Murray on tour with the Grizzlies ahead of his rookie season. Morant was greeted by Murray State students and local elementary school students as he traversed his old stomping grounds. Morant signed autographs in the Curris Center before heading over to the CFSB Center to meet with his former teammates. On the practice court, Morant was awarded a key to the city of Murray. Friday, August 23rd, 2019 was announced as Ja Morant day.
