An outstanding ghazal from the film Adalat (1958). The lyrics were written by Rajinder Krishan and the music was composed by Madan Mohan. The song was sung by Lata Mangeshkar, in a way only she could.
The film starred Pradeep Kumar and Nargis. This lovely song was not kept in the film for unknown reasons. It is a shame since the song was, in my opinion, amongst the best ghazals composed by Madan Mohan. However, this song remains extremely popular to this day.
