The 2011-12 Gatorade National Boys' Basketball Player of the Year, 6'8 Junior superstar Jabari Parker (who turned 17 in March) had a magical high school season. 220-pound Parker lead his Simeon Wolverines team (Chicago Public League: Red South) to their best record in school history (33-1) and their third consecutive Class 4A state championship as he averaged 20.4 points, 9.2 rebounds, 5.1 assists, 3.4 blocks and 1.5 steals per game. Parker also earned USA Basketball's prestigious 2011 Male Athlete of the Year award, becoming the youngest player ever to earn that distinction. This kids flow is just amazing, I saw him play during the playoffs last year, and now watching him play in college it's just amazing this kid has so much fluidity to his game, so smooth are his cuts its like he just glides to the rim, dribbles well, I won't say the best but the smoothness to his flow is a marvelous spectacle man. Parker is the real deal.

I really think he's better than Andrew Wiggins especially in college. I think Parker is more cut out for the NBA kind of style of basketball. While Andrew Wiggins is more suited for high school. One can actually ball while the other is just a major freak of nature.

Kendall Green I gotta see it with my own eyes with Wiggins. I really feel that he should've stayed in school, I feel he may end up like Austin Rivers. Be a huge pick to come out of college, and become a huge bust in the league because his lack of discipline.

***** Like I keep saying I gotta see it to believe it with Wiggins. He's athletic, but so was Austin Rivers. I just don't want to see someone who was projected to be a huge pick this upcoming year become another washed up NBA bust. We've got too many of those players who are making millions in the NBA while doing absolutely nothing. Eddy Curry, Adam Morrison, Greg Oden, Kwame Brown. It's pathetic, players who actually had potential just let their talents get washed away.

At this point Parker is better than Wiggins, but NBA scouts are looking for upside and not the box score, so Wiggins will probably be picked over him.

Jabari Parker man, he is going to dominate at Duke. He can drive to the hoop, and finish. He doesn't seem to be afraid of anyone. Definitely going to be a star in the NBA. Also, great shooter. He has the bulk, and the strength to compete with anyone. Can't wait to see what this kid does in College and in the NBA

I think that is what is so exciting about Wiggins, I mean Parker has NBA written all over him, would probably come as no surprise to anyone if he became a superstar a few years into his NBA career, and he is the #2 player in his class?? Wiggins is an absolute freak, and he is a year younger than everybody in his class too, will be really exciting to see him develop in the next few years.

Connor Lucht Stats dont lie Jabari has a higher PER, takes a lot less shots and averages similar PPG, better rebounder and passer than Wiggins and actually tries to drive and dunk on more ppl than he does. Jabari is an improved shooter and always gives max effort unlike Wiggins who was supposed to be a great defender but has been very underwhelming. I just wish Jabari were healthy. So here's your L

I really wish Jabari had the athleticism of Wiggins. He'd be possibly the best prospect ever. Electrifying athleticism with polished game and shot? Even LeBron couldn't match that ceiling.

His athleticism is so underrated. His vertical jump might not be as high as Wiggins, but he's a freak athlete when you take into account his size, mobility, and strength. He's more athletic than Melo and Pierce and those are the guys that he's compared to. I would say he's about equal to James Harden as far as athleticism is concerned which is very impressive.

I hear many comparisons to Melo, but I think Parker looks more like Kevin Durant. He may have a thicker body than Durant, but his crafty instead of explosive offensive arsenal and silky smooth shot are definitely similar to that of his. One thing's for sure though, he's gonna be good!

Gotta love a kid who modeled his game after the "White Mamba" lol. The jumpshot along with playing good hard nose defense are the two most basic skills but it seems like more and more young players are coming out needing work on one or both of these, would like to see kids stay in college a little longer to develop their skills, money will always be there.

A lot of people compare Jabari to Paul Pierce and Melo which I both agree with but I also see little glimpses of guys like Tim Duncan and David Robinson in his already very fundamentally sound. low post game. He already has a solid low post turnaround jump shot and his footwork is very seasoned for a 17 year old and that has a lot to do with having NBA pedigree with the great Sonny Parker being his father. Talent usually breeds talent.

It's two years you volunteer for and then you're assigned somewhere around the world. Doesn't necessarily mean he won't go NBA eventually, and you're right he gets to choose whether or not he serves a mission. Not every Mormon has to either, but young men are under obligation to go. You're not a bad guy if you don't, but just as much an opportunity that you don't get back as would be if it cost you an NBA career. That's why it's tough, both are good things for a guy.

Jabari will have better overall stats and will lead to duke to more success in their freshman seasons in college. But I see wiggins with just a little brighter future just because of his athleticism. If he contained the IQ and passing abilities of Jabari, wiggins could of averaged 16 ppg, 6 rpg, 5 apg in the NBA this season.

What people don't realize most of the time is that being the best player and the "Go-to guy" are two different things. I don't think he's the best player in the class but I think him and Aaron Harrison are the only two players that could be the go to guys for a pro team later on down the line. Jabari's skill set and mentality are different, he doesn't have to dominate the ball to be effective like most highschool super stars.

Peopple here saying he wont be succesful in the nba level and all that, give him a break dont judge him yet, wait till he gets there and see how he does, then we can judge, also people arguing abut him lacking certain things well, pro scouts and experts, people that live from that are pretty excited about him so must have what they think its needed to make it.

I think Parker looks identical to Melo, Wiggins has a sort of more unique game but actually reminds me a lot of a younger Kobe. I try not to compare people to LeBron because he is just such a unique player, maybe if Wiggins puts on 20 pounds of muscle and starts passing it like a madman in college I could see a LeBron comparison fitting him.

2014 will be the best draft since Carmelo and LeBron. Parker, Wiggins and many more talent kids. I think overall it could possible be better in depth then LeBron Carmelo drafts we will see..
