Held at The City Club Alphaland Makati Place as a part of Bruno Mars 24k Magic tour on May 10, 2018. Jabba the Dawn - Jabbawockeez -TJ Lewis 2019 JBWKZ Records
I think the best thing about being anonymous as a dance crew is that when you’re dancing there really isn’t a “main one” and people can’t pick favorites. No one person watches for just one person that they think is hot, they watch for the whole crew. Also everyone gets a spot in the limelight.
Unless you’re michael Jackson in a mask, in which case everyone still watches just you. Bc... well.... he was michael jackson. Watch any clip of michael with a troupe behind him doing the same exact movements.
The mask and the outfits makes the performance look much cleaner and it somehow accents every move they make. Therefore your eyes are more focused on the body movements versus the face.
Alberto David Jr I really appreciate dance, considering i was a dancer for 15 years, and I still think the vibe changes without the masks and the costumes. And ur right, it does differentiate them which is exactly what changes the vibe cuz normally when u watch them it seems almost like one moving piece but seeing them each with different clothes and obviously different faces (lol) then it looks less cohesive and the cohesiveness is exactly what makes the jabbawockeez so dope. The dancing is exactly the same but the vibe and the atmosphere that the masks and matching costumes create isnt there anymore
The synergy with this group is on another level. To think that they had to put on a mask to get recognized int'l is mind blowing. In today's world, skills isn't just enough. Branding is equally important too(being mysterious in this case)
@Francisco Duran You know you can seperate words with the space bar right? Or if that is too much for your head.you.can.use.a.period. You putting in too much effort to be a salty troll is straight af. Stop being so straight, my God dude. Be you and be proud to be gay.
@Francisco Duran the fact that u exposed urself being dumb as shit is cool. Keep putting god damn unnecessary commas. Who the fuck cares if he wants to comment who were the originals, theres nothing wrong with that but there definitely is something wrong with you. Lay off the hate. Cuz bruh YOU want to be recognized
They're dope with or without the mask. KB is one of my favorite dancers! I recognized him in a grocery store and my husband was looking at me crazy for approaching some random man. Had to let him know it was a jabbawockee :)
They have lots of chemistry. I absolutely despise watching videos where the entire crew isn’t in sync or you can just tell from miles away it’s amateurs who choreographed their first dance in like 20 minutes. There’s so much thought and hard work out into this and as hard as they weren’t tryna go in the beginning they still did because soon as it ended i was impressed
I remembered that was TJ's bday. When KB announced it we are shouting "Yo TJ! It's your Birthday" repeatedly. 😊 that talented guy. What a day dancing with the Jabbawockeez! 😊🙏 Hope it will happen again.
I'll never forget this day ^^ we really had a good time with them, they are not just inspirations but also brothers with the same passion. Can't believe I am one with the people being taught by Jabbawockeez in real life.
The whole debate on “If any other dance groups put on the mask they’d be the same” or “the mask makes them dance better” is false. Even without the masks, the Jabbawockeez proved why they’re the one of the greatest to ever do it.
In my opinion when their mask is off.. Our eyes tends to focus on their faces more over their performance unlike when their mask is on where in the details in their dance shines
God these guys are so cool, as equally impressive as their dance moves, their costume design is so amazing. Their outfits always looks so awesome. Amazing!
The moves are on point like usual and its amazing. I Think the masks and gloves help the eye track the little idiosyncrasies of the movement/dance and that's why it "looks better" when they have it on
I forget how dope my old friends, teammates and mentors are. But this feels like a cheat sheet since I like finding out who’s who from their freestyles
@@marksun4292 The original seven: Kevin Brewer (Black), Joe Larot (Filipino), Jeff Nguyen (Vietnamese), Phil Tayag (Filipino), Rainen Paguio (Filipino), Ben Chung (Korean), Chris Gatdula (Filipino) and Gary Randall (Black) was the 8th original member who died the day before appearing on ABDC.
,I would love to see thEm before I die I am a 53 year old female and I love them I watch them over and over that how much they mean to me .god bless you guys and keep up your faith to the world
If you guys want to see them perform this specific set, they do a version of it at sneakercon in Japan. I wanted to see this same set from a better camera angle and that’s the best I’ve found so far!
