I had pretty harrowing experience with edifier here in India. Had purchased their NB2 pro frm amazon. Left side stopped working within a week. Got tht exchanged. But then again d left side stopped working with in a month. Worst part is no after sales support here in India. All d contact details mentioned at their website r false. At least for India. Very skeptical to purchase these Chinese products.

I had 3 pairs of cheap TW headbuds and although when received I thought it was pretty good value for money, I always had issues with earbuds disconnecting or L & R getting out of sync. Also had them not turning off when I place them back into the case leading to battery drain and staying connected to BT when I'm away from the buds... very annoying I'd rather spend the cash for a quality pair

I was blown away when Jabra added active noise cancelling ro their 75T's for free via a free software update. I'll probably stay faithful to them for some time based on that alone (and I'm very happy with the sound quality). Battery longevity over the years is also important to me & I dont trust the Chinese brands to put quality cells in their products. Time will tell if this is an justified concern however.

Companies like Soundcore and Fill have already done this I agree with you. Earbuds are different than cell phones where I live in the USA I can't use phones like Xiaomi, Huawei and others because they don't pick up the bands I need and they're not compatible. The Jabra Elite 3 has one fatal flaw for me and that's low volume. Thank you nice work. 👍💯

I bought a chinese tws Haylou a subbrand of Xiaomi in 2019... at ₹1200 (under $20... dont know the exact value of dollar in rupees back then) I can say they sound better than ₹2000 earphone TWS which came in 2020 from redmi and realme series... I had RHA MA390 Universal it's closer to 70% per se.... but since it's a cheap earbuds now it's showing its age like connection issues, a little bit mufflier sounding and batteries is going down faster ( back then 3hrs or close to it.... now close to 2hr )... So I think chinese TWS can compete but can't guarantee about long term usage though

I bought the Jabra Elite 75t when they came out and they quickly lost their sound. I could raise the volume and it sloooowly went more and more dim within 6months. Soon the right earbud was busted. Never dropped it. Never got water on it despite the perks. I was seriously let down by them after loving the 65t's at the time. I hear these have hissing sound with more drawbacks but still a good budget earbud choice. Now the Elie 7s are out so I'm hesitant on both. Sucks because I loved this brand.... Guess I got a shitty pair 😐

It is also a possibility, that the earwax has clogged up the filter cover, so cleaning or even removing them might work. I once had the similar problem, where the volume started fading and eventually you couldn't hear anything, so doing that fixed the issue.

I generally agree with you about Chinese Brands taking over, however I don't think they will completely dominate the market. Numerous reviews across multiple sites will often point out the spotty Quality Control, and also longevity. The brands have to cut costs somewhere, but if it is in the Quality of the batteries or something similar, people probably won't buy them if that is a known issue. I do agree that Western companies need to step up their budget game, but people will still buy American and European Made products because they have built that name for themselves and have loyal followers.
@willyng5873
@willyng5873 2 года назад
For me, i've always buy brand because that's their essential product that they offered to the market for years. So i won't trust some chinese phone maker that used to launched phone then come up with their TWS (trying to do what Apple do). Jabra has been known in the earphone headphone market for years. My first Jabra was 65t and i love it since (upgraded to 75t a year ago.

You're not wrong. But then, there are more budget conscious majority out there and non audiofiles that don't know better and will opt for Chinese / the cheaper product. In Asia for example, Xiaomi, Amazfit, Huawei etc are more common than say a Jabra, jaybird or Sennheiser.

I would say 75t first since they have the best bass, second would be the sennheiser with its cleared sound/bass is decent as well and it gets a touch louder. Last would be the Elite 3, they sound great if you're listening to it at past 50% volume, but the sound gets really muddy at lower volumes, to the point where I have to go to the EQ and go to the setting with the least amount of bass.

The problem with Chinese brands is poor quality control. Other products are very durable but Chinese brands usually last me a year or so. Even Anker which is the best Chinese brand imo has issues when it comes to delivering a op quality product. Their strategy has been cramming features at the expense of not getting certified for quality standards thus saving the licensing fees and making a cheaper product but in the longer run this strategy might fail as consumers ask for better quality

The bigger issue is that you might be able to buy 2 different china brands for the same price as Bose/Apple/Sony at the high end. I would disagree about brand dominance - they will do in china, the same as Chinese brand TVs but outside China, they are almost unknown. Support is also an issue - many Chinese brands have near zero support outside- many Chinese brand support sites are poor for the odd non Mandarin speaker out there. The main support choice is return to retailer for a refund (if you can). Sony/Apple-Beats/Bose/Sennheiser certainly charge a brand premium but in two years time when something goes wrong- there is some hope your support issues will be replied to and perhaps a fix offered. When you start seeing pro DJs using Chinese cans for their work, this might signify a big change. I'm still waiting for more Bluetooth 5.2 true wireless choices (and smartphones) to gain access to the better BT audio codec. Jabra seem the first known brand

@@Wombat-blue Those do exist but when 70-80% of lower cost consumer goods come from China, those alternative options are either limited to the wealthy or the buyer decides not to order the new good at all. My problem is that while the features you note are important (some options more important than others depending on personal preference), sound quality is my number one concern. And yet a number of reviewers go all in on the features to the exclusion of caring equally about sound quality. And it seems when earbuds are praised for being priced low, but able to compete with the higher-cost earbuds, it's primarily due to the things you listed. I suppose your comment sort of crystallized the concern I had in my wee pea brain. 🤷🏼‍♂️

The question should be "Will Chinese brands dominate the BUDGET wireless earphones market in the near future?" and the answer to that is definitely "YES". To me, Chinese brands are cheap and the performance is good. The downsides are mainly its quality and warranty. Most of the Chinese brands don't really provide warranty for customers outside China. Even if they do, the warranty services are far from great. Customers have to simply dispose it when the earbuds are faulty or died most of the time.
