I've known Jabra for decades, both in the Middle East and in the U.S. He is one of the most knowledgeable, yet least known, true experts on the Middle East in this country. Thank you, Greg, for tapping this incredible source for the benefit of us all. As I remember many years ago when listening to the Apostle Mark E. Peterson who was my neighbor tell me. He said: "Get your house in order and keep your eyes on the Middle East." We are rushing towards some truly challenging, even desolating times of Biblical proportions. What's sad is the level of emotion that is driving so much going on today in this country, and certainly in the world. That emotion, I believe, is a prime weapon of the Adversary. On the positive side, Jabra's intellect, his approach based in facts and reason, is something we can all learn from and benefit by. More so, Jabra provides a subtle Spiritual component that, in his own way, quietly provides deep insight and historical context we all need right now. In fact, more of this would be a true blessing. Thank you Jabra and Greg!

Thanks! Greg, thanks so much for this discussion. I really enjoy Jabra Ghneim and his fair perspective and sharing his life experiences. It was such a good discussion that I'm going to share it with some people who have been misled by the media or anti-semite "intellectuals" who never present the real history or Israel's viewpoint. I'd always best to hear all sides. Off subject. I keep hearing about your book, like in the discussion with David Butler a month ago. I so admire you and can't wait to read it. I'm not trying to get a freebie, but if you need any fair reviewers I'd volunteer to get a copy or transcript in advance. ✋️

I disagree. His arguments are not good. He handwaives away colonization, as if that hasn't happened, doesn't address current and decades-long occupation, says that Palestinians have rejected so many peace deals in an effort to "make it right." (None of these peace deals were fair, Israeli PMs have bragged about the poison pills inside of them).

Let me play devils advocate. 1 samuel 15 3 now go and smite Amelek and utterly destroy all that they have and spare them not slay both man woman infant and suckling ox sheep chamel and ass .... Google Amelek is Esau people whom were forgiven in Ezekiel 18 20 kjv the soul that sinneth it shall die the son shall not bare the iniquity of the father neither shall the father bear the iniquity of the son.... then goto 2 samuel 8 Google the names . Samuel had David attack both of Lots tribes you know the Nephew of Abraham and make slaves of them and they Attack Edom the other tribe of Esau....deuteronomy 23 7 kjv though shalt not abhor an Edomight for he is thy brother.... Israel genosided its brothers sisters and cousins so has no friends left . When Isreal was sacked even the temple Edom did not help . In fact they went to the sacked temple and they burnt it down . Samuel was a false prophet David was evil so was Solomon. Now Isreal dose have the right to defend it's self . But if I use the same logic False prophet Samuel did 300 years ago we invaded the Amalikites land and used magic to beat them but God now wants us to genocide you . Lol . How about this for logic . President Nelson gose to Arizona and in a talk says God members the mountain meadow massacre. ARIZONA goto Utah kill everyone even woman and suckling child . Then go Read the 2end article of faith and tell me samuel was a real prophet. And yes I think Isreal should fight for their land . They are just running into their own past logic

Wow is right! I thoroughly enjoyed this episode. I have a Palestinian friend whose family died. All of them but one. He has lived in America over 35 years and bought his family a house near the beach in north Gaza a while back. They were told to take cover in the south, so they fled their house and died within days, as the place they were told to go, got bombed and killed them all. When he was young, just out of college, some leadership try to get him in some kind of office so he could be their puppet. He didn't want that. He left for the United States to get his doctorate degree. He has resided here ever since. He used to say I'm a Man Without a state. I want to share this with him and get his feedback. I was young during oyer acquaintance and didn't understand too much of the Middle East perplexities. He said the PLO betrayed the Palestinians, by getting them to leave their land and then they lost it.

The fundamental problem I see with Israel’s approach to Gaza is there seems to be little to no plan for what comes after the fighting is ended. People say Gaza is in need of ‘denazification’ but what does that actually mean? People primarily associate denazification with Nuremberg while ignoring the more complicated history that came after it. In West Germany it often amounted to a slap on the wrist for thousands of former party members which became a major point of East German propaganda during the Cold War. The East Germans actually showcased their harsh treatment of former Nazis as a sign of their government’s own legitimacy. The irony of all this is that while Nazism was more or less eradicated via the cynical West German approach it persisted long after in the East via neo-Nazism. So, what does this mean for Israel? It’s already hard to fathom the same results manifesting in Gaza as they did via Germany or Japan considering the stark differences there. But, will former Hamas participants be given amnesty to work in Israeli aerospace programs in exchange for peace? I doubt it. Israel seems intent on a hard line no matter what at this point. For that reason I can foresee no real political solution manifesting in the region. The only real long lasting end to the Israel Palestinian conflict will likely be the removal of one group or the other. There will be no two state solution or tidy end here. It will be a messy, painful, and excruciating process for all parties involved.

Messy indeed. Once Israel has taken out the influence of Hamas, what fills the void? Who leads? Iran will not stop its proxy wars. It will regroup, recruit again, and fund again. There is nowhere for the Gazans to go. No one wants them. Can you imagine a world where a leader steps into Gaza, and leads, inspires, and develops their society?

@CwicShow I don't mean to sound presumptuous, but the Scriptures address how this all plays out. We are watching the closing if the final act, and we know how it ends.

@@CwicShow The only person I could conceive of in this role is the Fatah leader Marwan Barghouti. He’s been called the Palestinian Mandela and has been imprisoned now for more than two decades for his role in the two intifadas. His time as a prisoner has given him a unique stature among Palestinians and undisputed credentials to where he could never be considered a lackey of the West or Israel. Moreover, the fact that he’s been away for so long means he can claim a kind of outsider status to the more recent developments in the region. If there was anyone that might have a plausible chance at cutting the Gordian knot that is Palestine it would be him. But, I am skeptical. The real Mandela, after all, failed to create a truly functional governmental system that could outlive his own personal charisma. The Palestinians have virtually no functioning political institutions or allies in the region that truly have their best interests at heart. I don’t blame the people over there for giving into despair and anger over what’s happening. I think the fact that they’ve been turned into a prop through which academics and activists can criticize their opponents is honestly one of the worst things that has happened to them.

Until the children are freed from the awful propaganda that surrounds them in their school lessons, bedroom artwork etc the hate will not end. If you want peace the children need to be able to play together. That's how racism ended in the south in the US.

I was a big fan of Captain America. Was. During the time Marvel was looking at Disney to buy Marvel to wokeism being forced in DC and Marvel Comics (includes IDW, Image, Dark Horse, etc), Ta-Nehisi Coates was writing for Black Panther, which he puts racism into Black Panther. The book series got canceled for poor sells from Ta-Nehisi Coates. Marvel gave him Captain America, and he destroyed Captain America by forcing Anti-American, pro-racism, anti-Christianity, anti-Israel messages. He is not a good writer as he forces racism and hate. Captain America characteristics suffered sales dropped. But, Marvel…Disney…. pushed for this political hate to be the “in crowd” of the left. Marvel Comics dead in around 2012 (or after 9-11-2001, when Marvel started to show their hate towards Captain America, depends on point of view). Marvel bashed fans for criticizing this bad move (wokeism, like making Thor into a women or having a black girl steal Iron Man’s armor and calling her “Iron Man” after killing Tony Stark etc…). Ta-Nehisi Coates Did not help make money for Marvel, like these other stupid moves in the name of wokeism. At least Marvel is a parasite to Disney’s woke agenda. I have not purchased any Marvel Comics in a long time after I read how 1960s Jean Grey brainwashed 1960s Iceman to be gay while 2010s Beast brought them to the future.

Interesting perspective and informative; however, much of the substance I find debatable. If you really want an expert on the Israeli-Palestine Conflict that makes the Palestinian case, then you need to contact Jewish author Norman Finkelstein.
