This was exactly what I was looking for - a real-life test of the audio quality that I myself can hear, not just some opinions of other people. Thanks a lot!
Thank you for the informative video. After several years of owning the 5200 I have just ordered this Jabra to replace since the battery in my Voyager is failing on me now.
@Tim Mata I do like it a lot. It is very comfortable and I have had very clear connections and conversations so far. It may have a few less features than the Voyager but seems like a perfect fit for my daily calls. I'm a satisfied customer.
I HATED that magnetic charging connection on my Plantronics Voyager Legend...hated it! and it stopped charging after 2 weeks....getting my Jabra Talk 65 tomorrow looking fwd to it!
just a perfect simple video to watch before u decide which one to buy. million thanks to u. jabra is better in terms of clarity. even though plantronics seem to be louder, but i think it over boost the sound and made it not as clear as jabra. gonna go for the jabra. again, thanks a lot!!
You done good job sir, but you should play that audio sound demo in your pc so we may hear or listen again as well.but anyhow its great job you showed while driving too ,very helpfull.
I bought two poly 5200. I took them back after 2 weeks because everyone I some to said they just could not hear me. peyote complained that I sounded very very far away and very soft. I upgraded the first and tried every seeing I could but in the end they were both! totally unusable when connected to calls via ox and my phone. I note have two talk65s... no issues
i've been using the Plantronics 5200 for 9 years and it's awesome till recently i guess it's time to change as the batt drained out fast so i bought the new "Poly" version of the 5200 and weirdly it's different. Sound was not as clear as the "original". One of my friend said that a new company "Poly" took over and manufactured it and no longer the original manufacturer of the OG Plantronics 5200. Maybe "new" manufacturer is not as good as the old ones thus the drop in quality? not sure but might be.
Thanks a mill for the video, it has made my final decision on choice before produce my wallet ))) Maybe thats just my ear, but to me Jabra provides more natural sound quality compares to 5200, feels like plantronics or poly whatever overdoing on noise cancelling thus a bit warping sound quality provided to call recepient, IMHO.
I just smile when people criticize the look of that Bluetooth, because I know it looks cool. Example: they keep using it in spy movies. Either way, i get a lot more compliments than criticisms
Ik heb de Jabra gekocht en het geluid wat ik hoorde was soms niet zuiver, terug gestuurd. De Poly zijn geluid is wel helder, dus geef mij maar Poly 5200...
I had the poly, has my heart broken, sound is terrible, the older model (3200, i think)had great sound but shit software, after a few months they would disconnect etc, im a farm contractor and mw and all me friends used poly for years, but we are all sick to the teeth of them, we generally only get 6 months out of them. I'm looking at reviews now to get something better
Plantronics Voyager 5200 is a very unreliable piece of electronics. It worked approx a year and a half for me, then I just threw it away. Very glitchy. Voyager Legend is a bit better. Nonetheless, I don't trust Plantronics/Poly devices anymore/
Aside from the truly better voice reproduction quality by Jabra, I'm impressed how these Voyager 5200 cope with different kind of noise. In deed - surprisingly better than the new Jabra 65.
