All the bad pasta puns seems like a mockery of the Super Mario Super Show. The show was full of those jokes. The gruff Mario voice is like the Captain Lou take on Mario.

It's obvious that the racism comments are fake, you can literally tell about how he says it and how quickly it happens. It's also obvious that Joel and Mike are good friends and always make fun of each other's culture all the time when they are and are not around each other. Also please don't delete this comment, I'm just confirming something important since I've seen most of the stuff Mike and Joel and have done and they always mess around and joke with each other like this all the time.

Also, the third Mario brother that Lasagna Ocelot(/Garfield) was referring to was Sponge (though 'Blue Shell Incident 2: Wari Oh No!' drops this plotline entirely, unless Wario was the third brother).
