One thing that will always make me mad is why did Magnus never have him choose? The amount of times Alec almost died. Looking forward Jace I was hoping would be a sign just surprised Magnus never said anything.

Question: In the show, it appears as though Jace and Alec almost always knows what the other one is feeling. When Alec and Magnus get serious, Jace knows. When Jace doubts Alec in the first episode, Alec knows and calls him out on it. The parabatai bond is shown as if the two always know exactly what the other is feeling. So, if that's how the parabatai bond works, then how does Jace not know Alec is in love with him?
Jada Y I think it's because Alec has loved him since before they became parabatai and so the love that Jace felt from his side of the bond has been constant. Jace never questioned it, and Alec never stopped. Hope that makes sense.

I’ve watched the full seasons of Shadowhunters a few times and I haven’t grown tired of it yet,because of the boundaries it test in regard to male stereotypes. When I watch the final series I release a deep sigh and simply say WOW... And then I plan for when I want to watch it again. Love all the characters but have to admit my special favourites are Alec, Magnus, Jace, Meliorn (very cool dude), Luke (so sexy), Izzy (very full of spice) and Rafael (he’s got such a sad story and I’m a sucker for a sad story). The Seelie Queen (manipulative, trouble making bitch) was my most disliked character.

I want to start reading the books, but I don't know if the parabatai bond is as strong and beautiful as in the tv show, can someone who has already read them tell me?
If you don't already know then: Yes, I would say it is just as strong as in the series however, it is very, very different. I don't know if it will make sense but it's almost another different type of love. In the books it's a very tough love, for example, jace punched through a window and rather than letting him be iratzed Alec makes him heal the mundane way to teach him a lesson. Finally, I don't believe you will be disappointed, but, just be prepared for quite major differences in the parabatai relationship. 😊

@@tjsevarg3838 Alec was in love with Jace he always has been and he always will be(at least a little bit). He moved on with Magnus of course but everyone knows that Jace is the one thing that Alec would never be able to live without besides they're my ot3. Friendship or no Magnus, Jace and Alec all belong together.. and nobody can convince me otherwise.
